The Mesopotamian civilization was one of the earliest and most influential civilizations in human history. It emerged in the fertile region between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, known as Mesopotamia, which is located in present-day Iraq, Syria, and southeastern Turkey.
Mesopotamians had a complex polytheistic belief system, with numerous gods and goddesses associated with natural forces and city-states. They built elaborate temples, called ziggurats, to honor their deities. The epic of Gilgamesh, one of the oldest surviving works of literature, originates from Mesopotamia.
Its cultural and intellectual achievements left a lasting impact on subsequent civilizations in the Near East and beyond.

حضور نبی محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پل صراط کے حوالے سے بھی متعدد فرمانات فرمائیں ہیں۔ یہاں کچھ احادیث مبارکہ درج کیے گئے ہیں:

1. عن النَّوَاسِ بْنِ سَمْعَانَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم: "إِنَّ صِرَاطِي مَنَصِفٌ، مُضِيءٌ عَلَيْهِ كَلْبَةٌ، يُحْمَلُ عَلَيْهِ كَلْبَةٌ، وَمَنْ طَوَى الصِّرَاطَ طَوَّعَ الْجَنَّةَ، وَمَنْ قَعَدَ عَنْهُ انْتَظَرَهُ النَّارُ"

"رواہ البخاري"

معنی: "روا ہے النواس بن سمعان رضی اللہ عنہ سے، انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "میرا صراط سیدھا اور روشن ہوگا، جس پر کتیاں رکھی جائیں گی، اور اس پر کتیا چڑھایا جائے گا۔ اور جو شخص اس صراط کو پار کرلے گا، وہ جنت کو راضی کر لیں گا، اور جو اس سے بھاگ جائے گا، وہ آگ کی منتظر ہوگا۔"
