دنیا کا چھٹا سب سے طاقتور زلزلہ، روس کے ساحل کے قریب!

روس کے ساحلی علاقے میں 8.8 شدت کا زلزلہ ریکارڈ کیا گیا ہے، جو زمین پر اب تک آنے والے چھٹے سب سے طاقتور زلزلوں میں شمار کیا جا رہا ہے۔

زلزلے کے بعد پورے بحرالکاہل میں سونامی الرٹ جاری کر دیے گئے ہیں۔ ہوائی، جاپان، الاسکا اور مغربی امریکی ساحلی علاقے ممکنہ خطرے کی زد میں ہیں۔

ماہرین کے مطابق یہ صرف ایک بڑا زلزلہ نہیں بلکہ ایک تاریخی نوعیت کا واقعہ ہے، جس کے اثرات دور رس ہو سکتے ہیں۔ حکام نے لوگوں کو ہوشیار رہنے اور حفاظتی اقدامات پر عمل کرنے کی ہدایت کی ہے۔

کٹاس راج مندر، جو چکوال کی پہاڑیوں میں واقع ہے، اس وقت شدید خطرے سے دوچار ہے۔ گزشتہ 24 گھنٹوں میں ہونے والی 400 ملی میٹر بارش نے علاقے میں سیلابی صورتحال پیدا کر دی ہے، جس کے باعث اس تاریخی مقام کو شدید نقصان پہنچنے کا خدشہ ہے۔ پانی کی شدت نے نہ صرف اطراف کی دیواروں کو کمزور کر دیا ہے بلکہ مندر کے بنیادی ڈھانچے کو بھی نقصان پہنچا رہا ہے۔

کٹاس راج صرف ایک مندر نہیں بلکہ برصغیر کی صدیوں پرانی تہذیب، عقیدت اور بین المذاہب ہم آہنگی کی علامت ہے۔ ہندو روایت کے مطابق یہاں کی جھیل بھگوان شِو کے آنسوؤں سے وجود میں آئی۔ مہابھارت کے پانڈو بھائیوں نے یہاں اپنی جلاوطنی کے ایّام گزارے، اور مشہور "Yaksha Prashna" والا واقعہ بھی یہیں پیش آیا۔ اس مقام پر بدھ مت اور ہندو شاہی دور کے آثار آج بھی موجود ہیں، جن میں سات قدیم مندر، ایک بدھ سٹوپا اور نایاب فنِ تعمیر شامل ہے۔

یہ مقام نہ صرف مقامی سطح پر اہمیت رکھتا ہے بلکہ بین الاقوامی سطح پر بھی جانا پہچانا جاتا ہے۔ بھارت سمیت دنیا بھر سے زائرین یہاں آتے ہیں، خاص طور پر مہا شوراتری کے موقع پر۔ یہ مندر پاکستان کے اُن چند مقامات میں شامل ہے جو اقلیتی ورثے کی نمائندگی کرتے ہیں اور ملکی تاریخ و ثقافت کا روشن حوالہ ہیں۔

بدقسمتی سے، موسمیاتی تغیرات، حکومتی غفلت اور حفاظتی اقدامات کی کمی کے باعث کٹاس راج اب مٹنے کے دہانے پر ہے۔ اگر فوری بحالی کے اقدامات نہ کیے گئے تو یہ قیمتی ورثہ ہمارے ہاتھوں سے ہمیشہ کے لیے چلا جائے گا۔

Devastating Floods Hit Riba Village, Dolpa. At least 53 houses were damaged and several families displaced after continuous rainfall triggered floods and landslides in Riba village, Ward 4 of Kaike Rural Municipality. Among the worst-hit is Putha Basic School, which lost its four-room building along with computers, CCTV equipment, and food supplies worth millions of rupees. Thankfully, there have been no reported human or livestock casualties, but the destruction has left crops ruined and families struggling to rebuild.
