A Greek Air Force F-4 Phantom II crashed during an aerial display at Athens Flying Week in Tanagra, Greece, on September 5.Video footage captured the aircraft losing altitude during the demonstration before the crash.According to Greek Air Force officials, both crew members were killed in the incident.

Indonesian authorities are continuing search and rescue operations after passenger ship Virgo Transport 8 capsized in the Java Sea.

Pakistan’s National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has increased electricity tariffs by Rs2.06 per unit under the monthly adjustment for consumers across the country.

The increase, linked to the July adjustment, will be reflected in electricity bills issued in September and will also apply to K-Electric consumers. According to the report, the adjustment will place an additional burden of more than Rs33 billion on electricity consumers.

Separately, NEPRA has approved a 52-paisa-per-unit increase under the quarterly adjustment for April to June 2026. The quarterly increase will remain applicable for three months, from September to November 2026, and will also apply to K-Electric consumers.

The quarterly adjustment is expected to impose an additional burden of Rs12.67 billion on consumers.

NEPRA has also allowed the government to require Battery Energy Storage Systems as part of an upcoming auction for 800MW of renewable power capacity from wind and solar projects.
