What is Economics?
Economics is a science to explain how a country prospers.Economics discovered that it is Economy makes the country prosper. Economics thinks that ‘Wealth of Nation’ is an indicator of how prosper a country is. Wealth of Nation is defined as the market value of goods and services produced in the country. Goods and services when exchanged in the market, they become National Income. Economics therefore is science that tells how the economy creates national income.
What is Economy?
The economy is that part of the country where people produce Goods and services in self-interest. People decide what to produce and how to produce and for whom to produce. These people employ labor and capital to produce goods and or services to make income. Access to Capital makes people to hire labor in producing goods or services
Growth in the capital makes the country increase employment of human resources (called Labor). Economy makes National Income and Full employment in the country.
That is all Economics is about. Why is it dead now. National Income and Full employment lost its relevance as an indicator of national prosperity. Economy in every country is moving in directions that is hurting humanity and Planet. Incidence of Hunger and poverty keeps growing in every country all over the world. Economics makes the economy exploit people and concentration of wealth, etc. Hunger, poverty, exploitation, concentration of wealth are not economic problems in Economics. Increasing economic problems create political unrest but Economics is not concerned about it.
