Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6, has closed down the developer behind the Kerbal Space Program 2 game.

The company, which also owns GTA 6 developer Rockstar Games, shut down Intercept Games, a studio responsible for Kerbal Space Program 2, a gaming website reported on Thursday.

“Kerbal Space Program 2 is the sequel to the acclaimed space-flight simulation game Kerbal Space Program,” the description of game noted. “Enter the next generation of space adventure with exciting new parts, stunning visuals, fully revamped UI and Map View, and rich new environments to explore.”

McDonald’s is set to report a sequential drop in sales growth for the fourth straight quarter as low-income consumers remain hesitant about eating out even as fast-food chains battle to lure them with value menu items.

The burger giant will report first-quarter results on Tuesday, kicking off earnings for U.S. restaurant chains, with top players such as Starbucks and KFC-parent Yum Brands set to report results later in the week.

“We expect traffic to continue to be negative and believe the average check will remain under pressure from the heavy discounting to recover lower-income consumer traffic,” BTIG analyst Peter Saleh said.

The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA-G) has urged the government to implement a tax on both residential and commercial consumers utilizing solar power systems. In this regard, the CPPA-G has forwarded a summary to the Ministry of Energy (Power Division).

The proposal has suggested imposing a tax of Rs. 2,000 per kilowatt on both residential and commercial solar panel users. The users with 12-kilowatt panels will expect to pay tax to the tune of Rs. 24,000 as per sources. The ministry has sent the summary to the prime minister for approval.

Sources also indicated that the summary for rationalization of buyback rates of net metering electricity is also being reviewed. Following the approval of the summary, an application will be submitted to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) to reduce the buyback rates of net metering electricity.

Al Maktoum International Airport is set to host the highest number of passengers in the world as the authorities in Dubai Sunday gave their assent to add another terminal for travellers at the airfield that would be constructed for a whopping $34.8 billion.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, vice president and ruler of Dubai, said on X that the airport capacity of hosting passengers would be reaching up to 260 million.

“It will fully absorb Dubai International Airport’s operations in 10 years," the Dubai Media Office said.

"As we build an entire city around the airport in Dubai South, demand for housing for a million people will follow. It will host the world's leading companies in the logistics and air transport sectors," Sheikh Mohammed said.

Scientists at University of California Riverside have demonstrated a new, RNA-based vaccine strategy that is effective against any strain of a virus and can be used safely even by babies or the immunocompromised.

Every year, researchers try to predict the four influenza strains that are most likely to be prevalent during the upcoming flu season. And every year, people line up to get their updated vaccine, hoping the researchers formulated the shot correctly.

The same is true of COVID vaccines, which have been reformulated to target sub-variants of the most prevalent strains circulating in the U.S.

This new strategy would eliminate the need to create all these different shots, because it targets a part of the viral genome that is common to all strains of a virus. The vaccine, how it works, and a demonstration of its efficacy in mice is described in a paper published today in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

“What I want to emphasize about this vaccine strategy is that it is broad,” said UCR virologist and paper author Rong Hai. “It is broadly applicable to any number of viruses, broadly effective against any variant of a virus, and safe for a broad spectrum of people. This could be the universal vaccine that we have been looking for.”
