Dubai’s aviation sector just took a major leap. Flydubai has signed seven new interline agreements, boosting its international reach to over 40 airline partners. This move opens up 120+ global destinations across Europe and Asia, making travel and trade routes significantly more seamless. Key partnerships include Aegean Airlines, ITA Airways, and several leading Asian carriers like Air China and Hainan Airlines.

By the end of 2024, China had more than 10,000 companies operating in the virtual reality ( ) sector, according to the 2025 World Conference on VR Industry (WCVRI), which concluded on Monday in Nanchang, the capital of east China's Jiangxi Province.

Xie Shaofeng, chief engineer of China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, stated that the country's VR sector has initially established a self-reliant industrial system, a diversified and integrated application ecosystem, and a relatively complete industrial ecology.

Positive results have been achieved in breakthrough core technologies, standards development and technological integration, Xie added.

UAE Just Tested 6G Internet at 145 Gbps... Enough to Download 9 Movies in One Second!

The future of the internet just got a lot closer. The UAE has officially completed one of the world’s fastest-ever 6G network tests, clocking an incredible 145 gigabits per second (Gbps) roughly 20× faster than today’s top 5G speeds. The test, led by e& UAE (formerly Etisalat) in collaboration with NYU Abu Dhabi, used terahertz (THz) frequencies, a cutting-edge technology that can transfer unimaginable amounts of data at near-zero delay.

To put it simply... at that speed, you could download nine full HD movies in a single second. But this isn’t just about faster streaming. Experts say 6G will power real-time holograms, driverless vehicles that react instantly, and even remote surgeries performed across continents. The UAE’s achievement makes it the first country in the Middle East to hit this milestone, placing it among global leaders in next-gen communication research.

Qatar Airways and Kenya Airways have launched codeshare flights to 19 destinations, with more routes to follow. Kenya Airways passengers can now book flights via Doha to 10 destinations, while Qatar Airways passengers gain access to eight destinations in Kenya Airways’ network through three daily Doha, Nairobi flights. The new codeshare flights start 26 October 2025, with bookings open from 21 October.⁠
The partnership enhances connectivity across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, and allows Qatar Airways Privilege Club members to earn Avios on Kenya Airways-operated flights.⁠
Both airlines will continue to collaborate on codeshares, airport operations, lounges, sustainability, and network development.
