Watch live! China launches Chang'e-6 moon sample-return mission
The Chang'e-6 mission will test the Moon's “retrograde orbit tech, take-off and ascent technologies, and automatic sample-return on the far side of the moon," according to China Central Television.
It is carrying Pakistan's first lunar mission, the iCube-Q developed by IST and SUPARCO.
The Long March-5 Y8 rocket carrying the probe is scheduled to launch in on May 3, 2024.
