The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is gearing up to launch educational modules on Oper@tion Sindoor for students of schools. Two different modules are being framed, one for Classes 3 to 8 and the second for Classes 9 to 12. Both will be 8 to 10 pages each and will be study material as an extension, not as part of main textbooks.

These modules seek to describe the history, plan, and results of the operation in an educational and organized manner. NCERT believes that the goal is to enlighten young minds about national defense, decision-making, and important history. Even though there have been some critics objecting to the inclusion of military subjects within the school curriculum, others say it evokes patriotism and civic consciousness.

The decision is under the National Education Policy 2020, which calls for the addition of modern topics. Earlier, NCERT has already framed such material on space science, climate change, and so on.

There was a public scandal at COMSATS University Lahore when Dr. Muhammad Tayyab Chaudhary publicly embarrassed a student in class for not having a personal laptop. When the student told him that he was using someone else's laptop and had lost his father, the professor ridiculed him by remarking, "Tell your brother to arrange it through zakat." He even made the student call his brother in class, further escalating the public embarrassment.

Students say that was not an individual incident; they accuse Dr. Chaudhary of constantly insulting and intimidating them and taking revenge with unjust grading. Despite numerous student complaints, the university allegedly did not do anything, and no official comment has been issued by COMSATS yet.

The Azad Kashmir Food Authority confiscated low-quality juice at Kohala Checkpost in Muzaffarabad on 28th July 2025. The juice was transported in plastic jars that lacked proper labeling and did not have important details like ingredients, date of manufacturing and expiry, and the name of the company.

The move contravened major clauses of the AJK Food Authority Act 2017 and Pure Food Regulations 2019. The authorities, in turn, seized the items, served notice to the violators, and initiated an official investigation into the incident.

District Food Controller and Food Safety Officer Muzaffarabad, Ibrar Ahmed Mir, once again emphasized the department's incessant efforts to guarantee food safety and safeguard people against harmful and substandard consumables.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has officially launched a digital governance system by initiating a paperless system for administrative processes. This marks a major step toward modernizing governance in the province.

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur signed the province’s first e-summary, which was received digitally and approved using an online signature system. The move is aimed at increasing speed and transparency in official communications.

The KP government has also increased grants for religious seminaries from Rs 30 million to Rs 100 million. In the next phase, digital note files, official notifications, and correspondence will also be fully digitized.

The CM emphasized that this initiative will reduce delays, enhance departmental efficiency, and deliver public services more effectively. It’s part of a broader push for technology-driven governance in the region.

The Peshawar High Court has stopped the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) from taking any action against opposition leader Umar Ayoub. The case concerns a notice sent by the ECP for allegedly failing to disclose his assets.

A two-member bench, including Justice Ejaz Anwar and Justice Khurshid Iqbal, heard the case. Umar Ayoub’s lawyer argued that the response was submitted within the 120-day deadline, which is the legal period for such matters.

The lawyer further stated that after this period, the ECP no longer has the authority to issue a notice regarding asset disclosure complaints. The court accepted the argument and temporarily halted further action.

The hearing has been postponed, and the final decision will come later. The case has raised legal questions about the powers of the ECP and the timeframe for initiating inquiries.

The federal government has directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to formally investigate the alleged theft or loss of a government vehicle meant for foreign dignitaries. The incident has raised serious concerns about internal mismanagement within the Cabinet Division.

Four individuals have been named in the inquiry: Muhammad Amir Qureshi (Section Officer, CPC), Rashid Saleem Bhatti (Section Officer, Maritime Affairs), Muhammad Bashir (Driver), and Irshad Ali Shah (Transport Supervisor). An internal probe has reportedly linked them to the vehicle’s disappearance, indicating potential criminal responsibility.

The vehicle was allegedly handed over to a woman on the instructions of a former Joint Secretary. She was stopped by Islamabad police while trying to enter the Diplomatic Enclave without proper clearance. The former official has denied any knowledge of the vehicle's current location.

The Cabinet Division has since forwarded the case to the FIA for further investigation and possible legal proceedings. The missing vehicle belonged to the Cabinet's Car Pool Section, which manages over 400 luxury vehicles used by top government officials and foreign dignitaries.
