Some people don’t stay because everything is perfect.

They stay because there are bills to pay, families depending on them, and responsibilities waiting outside of work.

Behind every “I’m fine” is sometimes a person choosing patience because they don’t have the luxury to walk away yet.

Respect the people who keep showing up even on the days it costs them more than anyone knows.

Authorities in the United Arab Emirates have reminded motorists that driving a vehicle in a condition that obstructs visibility—such as extremely dirty windscreens, mirrors, or number plates—can result in fines of around AED 500 under traffic safety regulations.

The rule is part of broader road safety enforcement aimed at reducing accidents caused by poor visibility and ensuring that vehicles on public roads remain safe and roadworthy. Officials emphasized that obstructed vision can significantly increase the risk of collisions, especially during night driving or dusty weather conditions common in the region.

Drivers are being urged to regularly clean their vehicles, maintain clear windshields and mirrors, and ensure that license plates remain visible at all times. Traffic authorities also noted that violations may be monitored through patrol checks and automated surveillance systems.

The advisory reinforces the UAE’s ongoing focus on improving road discipline and enhancing overall traffic safety standards across all emirates.

*5 new UAE 🇦🇪 updates from 1st June 2026*

These are 5 important updates that take effect from Monday, June 1st 2026.

If you are in the UAE 🇦🇪, take note of these changes.

1. Legal Adult Age Drops to 18.

The UAE has lowered the legal age of majority from 21 to 18 years.

This means 18-year-olds can now legally sign contracts, manage finances, open and control bank accounts, and make independent legal decisions without a guardian.

All 18 year old have graduated from boys/ girls to men/women.

You got a big responsibility now.

Be wise

2. Salaries must be paid earlier

Private sector companies must now pay employee salaries by the 1st day of every month through the Wage Protection System (WPS).

Any payment after the 1st is considered delayed under the new rules.

3. VAT added to salik tolls

A 5% VAT is now being applied to Salik toll charges and tag activation fees.

While the toll rates themselves remain the same, motorists will pay the additional VAT amount.

4. Dubai parking goes cashless.

Cash payments at many Dubai parking meters are being phased out.

Motorists are encouraged to use:

● Parkin App
● Nol Card
● Dubai Now App
● RTA App
● SMS Parking

No more digging for coins before your parking expires!

Now you forget that 2 dirham change 😄

5. Dubai parking gets more expensive.

A 5% VAT is now being added to Parkin parking services, including public parking, permits, seasonal cards, and reservations.

Drivers may notice slightly higher parking costs from 1st June 2026.

June has come with fresh updates.

Let's hope for a great month ahead.

Which of these changes affects you?
