A passenger plane has mysteriously gone missing in Russia's Far East with nearly 50 people on board. The AN-24 aircraft, operated by Siberia's Angara Airlines, was en route to the Chinese city of Tynda when it suddenly lost contact with air traffic control and disappeared from radar.

According to regional governor Vasily Orlov, the plane had 43 passengers, including five children, and six crew members on board. He confirmed that emergency operations have been launched immediately, with all available resources and rescue teams mobilized for the search.
