His dedication to leveraging technology for healthcare innovation has earned him international recognition. He was honoured with the prestigious Young System Leader Award at the IAPB Insight 2030 Conference 2026, held in Nairobi, Kenya.

At the conference, Mehran shared his insights on “Investing in Leadership: Making Space for New Voices and Capabilities” and participated in a panel discussion on “The Difference Between Being Heard and Being Trusted,” highlighting the importance of inclusive leadership and empowering emerging voices.

Notably, Mehran was the only representative from Pakistan selected as a Young System Leader—a remarkable achievement that brings immense pride to his university and country.

We proudly highlight Dr. Shakir Ali, Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Mehran University of Engineering & Technology (MUET), SZAB Campus. Dr. Ali earned his Ph.D in Energy Systems Engineering from MUET in 2026, with research focused on advanced artificial intelligence techniques for renewable energy forecasting and energy systems optimization. With 7 years of industry experience at K-Electric (2005–2012) and over a decade in academia, Dr. Ali brings a powerful blend of practical expertise and academic excellence to MUET. His research in energy systems, renewable energy integration, AI & machine learning, smart grids, and sustainable power systems is helping shape data-driven solutions for Pakistan’s energy future. Dr. Ali has authored numerous research articles in peer-reviewed international journals and remains committed to mentoring the next generation of engineers and driving innovation in sustainable energy technologies. From District Sujawal to the Global Stage – The Inspiring Journey of Engr. Rajnesh Kumar

Success is built on determination, resilience, and a commitment to continuous learning. Today, PRIDE OF MUET proudly celebrates the remarkable achievements of Engr. Rajnesh Kumar, an alumnus of Mehran University of Engineering & Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, whose journey reflects the true spirit of excellence and perseverance.

Starting from a small town in District Sujawal, Rajnesh pursued his passion for engineering at MUET, where his academic dedication earned him international exposure through the Mevlana Exchange Program at Selçuk University, Türkiye. After graduating with distinction, he gained valuable professional experience in Pakistan's energy sector before taking the next leap toward global impact.

Driven by his passion for addressing climate change, he was awarded the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Double Degree Master's Scholarship (DENSYS), enabling him to study in France and Spain alongside talented students from over 20 countries. He further strengthened his research expertise by completing his master's thesis in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE), Germany, one of Europe's leading research institutions.

Today, Engr. Rajnesh Kumar is contributing to sustainable energy solutions as a professional in Germany, proudly representing MUET and Pakistan on the international stage.

His journey is a testament to the fact that with dedication, hard work, and the right opportunities, dreams truly have no boundaries.
