Great news for candidates preparing for the Punjab Provincial Management Service (PMS)!

The Government of Punjab, Services & General Administration Department (S&GAD), Regulations Wing has introduced a special one-time age relaxation for recruitment to:

⚖️ Provincial Management Service — BS-17

🎓 Examination: Combined Competitive Examination (PMS)
Total Attempts: 03
⏳ Maximum Age: Up to 32 years
📅 Applicable Examinations: PMS 2026 & PMS 2027
🔹 Nature: Special & one-time relaxation
🗓️ Validity: 1 January 2026 – 31 December 2027

Q: If a student has 50% marks in their 5-year LLB, does the LLB result affect their Law-G*T score, or is the Law-G*T score calculated independently?

Answer by Adv. Natasha Sethi — Legal & Academic Consultant

Your LLB result and your Law-G*T performance are two separate matters. The Law-G*T is an assessment test conducted by HEC’s Education Testing Council for law graduates seeking professional enrolment.

So, if you have 50% marks in your LLB, your LLB percentage does not reduce or alter the marks you obtain in Law-G*T. Your Law-G*T result depends on your performance in the test itself.

For example:
LLB: 50%
Law-G*T: 65%

Your Law-G*T score remains 65%. It is not averaged with your LLB marks.

However, eligibility requirements can vary according to the applicable HEC/Pakistan Bar Council rules and the purpose for which you are applying. Therefore, students should always check the latest official notification before registration or enrolment. HEC currently lists Law-G*T as a separate ETC test and publishes its own syllabus and assessment framework.

Do not let a 50% LLB result discourage you. If you are eligible to appear, concentrate on your Law-G*T preparation and test performance. A strong preparation strategy can make a significant difference.
