A thermostat valve is a temperature-controlled device in an engine that regulates coolant flow to keep the engine at its correct operating temperature.

تھرموسٹیٹ والو انجن میں کولنٹ کے بہاؤ کو کنٹرول کرنے والا آلہ ہے جو انجن کو اس کی صحیح حرارت پر رکھنے میں مدد دیتا ہے

When the engine is cold, the thermostat stays closed so it can warm up quickly. When the engine reaches normal temperature, the thermostat opens and allows coolant to circulate, preventing overheating.

With Thermostat – Pros: Proper temperature, good fuel economy, better engine performance, long engine life.
With Thermostat – Cons: If it gets stuck, the engine can overheat.

Without Thermostat – Pros: No risk of thermostat jamming.
Without Thermostat – Cons: Poor mileage, weak heater, unstable temperature, more engine wear.

Seatbelt T-shirt can fool people but not the E-Challan cameras.

A quirky trend has surfaced in Pakistan as drivers attempt to dodge fin_es under the newly enforced E-Challan system. A “Seatbelt T-shirt,” printed with a fake black seatbelt design, is gaining attention for creating the illusion of wearing a seatbelt while driving.

The E-Challan initiative now active in Karachi, Lahore, and Faisalabad uses high-tech surveillance cameras to detect viola_tions such as not wearing seatbelts or using mobile phones.

Authorities have already warned that such tricks won’t deceive the system for long, urging drivers to follow the law for their own safety.
While the trend may seem humorous, it has sparked a serious conversation about responsible driving in the digital age.

Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) ایک اہم سینسر ہے جو تھروٹل باڈی پر لگا ہوتا ہے، اس کا کام یہ بتانا ہوتا ہے کہ گاڑی میں تھروٹل پلیٹ کتنی کھلی ہوئی ہے یعنی آپ نے ایکسیلیٹر پیڈل کتنا دبایا ہے، اور یہی معلومات ECU تک پہنچتی ہے تاکہ انجن میں فیول اور ایئر کا درست مکسچر جا سکے۔ جب یہ سینسر خراب ہو جاتا ہے تو گاڑی میں بہت سے مسائل پیدا ہوتے ہیں جیسے کہ گاڑی کا آئڈل خراب ہو جانا، RPM کا اوپر نیچے ہونا، گاڑی کا جھٹکے مارنا، ایکسیلیریشن میں مسئلہ آنا، پک کم ہو جانا، گاڑی کا سگنل یا اسپیڈ کم ہونے پر بند ہو جانا، فیول ایوریج کا بُری طرح خراب ہونا، لمبے کرینک کے بعد اسٹارٹ ہونا، اور ڈیش بورڈ پر Check Engine Light کا آن ہو جانا۔ آٹومیٹک گاڑیوں میں خراب TPS کی وجہ سے گیئر بھی وقت پر شفٹ نہیں ہوتے اور گاڑی جھٹکے دیتی ہے۔ یہ سینسر اکثر کاربن جمنے، وائر ڈھیلی ہونے، کنیکٹر خراب ہونے یا سینسر کے اندرونی حصے کے فیل ہونے کی وجہ سے خراب ہوتا ہے، اور اس کا حل عام طور پر تھروٹل باڈی کی صفائی، وائرنگ چیک کرنا، سینسر ری سیٹ یا نیا TPS لگانے سے ہو جاتا ہے۔

The Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) is an important sensor located on the throttle body. Its job is to detect how much the throttle plate is opened — meaning how much you are pressing the accelerator pedal — and send this information to the ECU so it can deliver the correct fuel-air mixture to the engine. When the TPS becomes faulty, the car starts showing several issues such as unstable idling, fluctuating RPM, engine jerks, poor acceleration, low pickup, engine shutting off at low speed or traffic signals, bad fuel average, long cranking before starting, and the Check Engine Light turning on. In automatic cars, a bad TPS also causes delayed or improper gear shifting and jerks during drive. Common reasons for TPS failure include carbon buildup, loose wiring, damaged connectors, or internal sensor failure. The solution usually involves throttle body cleaning, checking the wiring, resetting the sensor, or replacing the TPS with a new one.
