🌌 August 12, 2026: A Day of Wonders in the Sky 🌌
Today, the sky has more than one story to tell.
Before sunrise, several planets will appear gathered along the ecliptic, creating a spectacular planetary alignment visible from many parts of the world. 🪐✨
But that’s not all.
On the same date, a total solar eclipse will cross parts of the world, while many other regions will experience a partial eclipse. 🌑☀️
And as night falls, the Perseid meteor shower reaches its peak around August 12–13, giving skywatchers another reason to look up. 🌠
From Karachi to Kuwait, Lebanon and beyond, the view may be different depending on where you are—but we’re all looking at the same universe.

At first glance, both seem to represent a deep love for one's country. But dig beneath the surface, and you’ll find two completely different worldviews—and why choosing patriotism over nationalism matters now more than ever.
🔴 THE PATRIOT
A patriot’s loyalty is tied to values, community, and moral responsibility.
Loves the People & Principles: Cares deeply about the home place and naturally wants to see everyone in it thrive.
Embraces Improvement: Accepts peaceful critique and actively seeks to correct systemic mistakes to make the country better.
Peaceful Coexistence: Desires a strong, thriving nation without needing to feel superior to neighbors.
🔵 THE NATIONALIST
A nationalist’s loyalty is tied to power, supremacy, and division.
Belief in Supremacy: Operates on the idea that their nation-state is inherently superior to every other group.
Rejects Accountability: Sees questions, protests, or complaints as personal attacks or insults to the nation.
Us vs. Them: Focuses on rigid cultural conformity, creating hostility toward outsiders or minority voices.
🌐 Why We Must Choose Patriotism Over Nationalism
My focus is firmly on patriotism.
A natural, peaceful love for one’s homeland and community is a healthy, human sentiment. Caring for your home and serving your people helps society flourish.
However, we must strictly condemn blind, exclusionary tribalism or national superiority. True loyalty to a nation isn't about blind allegiance or putting others down—it’s about holding our society accountable to truth, justice, and shared human values.
Simply put: Patriots want their country to live up to its highest potential; nationalists demand uncritical devotion.

What started over exam paper leaks and compromised academic futures has grown into a defining national movement for transparency, governance, and democratic rights.
The recent resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan demonstrated the undeniable strength of peaceful, youth-led activism. However, victory on paper has been met with severe retaliation on the ground. Across multiple states, young activists and students are currently facing police violence, mass detentions, digital surveillance, and harsh criminal charges simply for making their voices heard.
In a functioning democracy, demanding fair examinations and holding elected leaders accountable isn't a crime—it is a basic right.
