Motorists in Karachi can now track their traffic fines and vehicle details with just a few taps on their phones, thanks to the launch of a new app called “Tracks Citizen.” Introduced by the Karachi Traffic Police, the app is designed to make traffic management more transparent and accessible to the public.

Through this app, users can instantly view all vehicles registered under their CNIC and check for any pending e-challans or traffic violations. Once signed in, the app automatically displays every vehicle linked to the user’s ID on the dashboard, offering a complete digital record in one place.

The Tracks Citizen app is available on both Android and iOS platforms. It sends real-time alerts for traffic rule violations first as a warning message and then as an official e-ticket (e-challan) once confirmed.

This initiative comes soon after the rollout of Karachi’s new digital e-challan system, which saw more than 2,600 violations recorded within six hours, resulting in fines exceeding Rs. 12.5 million. Most penalties were issued for overspeeding, not wearing seatbelts, running red lights and riding motorcycles without helmets.

Officials say the app will help citizens stay updated, avoid unnecessary fines, and encourage compliance with road safety laws. It also supports the city’s broader push toward digital governance and smart traffic solutions.

With Tracks Citizen, Karachi drivers can now stay informed, avoid penalties and contribute to safer, more efficient roads.|

One of the Coldest Winters in Decades Expected as La Niña Returns.

Weather experts warn that winter 2025-26 could be freezing cold — thanks to the comeback of La Niña, a climate pattern that chills sea waters in the Pacific and messes with global air currents. 🌍

Even a weak La Niña can drag temperatures down sharply, so brace yourself — this could be one of the coldest winters in decades.
