Women's rights in Islam are rooted in the principles of justice, equality, and respect. The Quran and Hadith emphasize the importance of women's dignity, rights to education, ownership, and participation in social, economic, and political life. While Islam grants women many rights, cultural interpretations and practices can sometimes vary, and in some cases, these rights may be restricted by societal norms. However, Islam historically provided women with rights to inheritance, marriage, and decision-making, which were progressive at the time of its revelation.
