ChatGPT Plus is out at $20 per month.

Let's guess their annual revenue with a 5-step calculation.

1. Number of free users

In January 2023, based on estimations, ChatGPT has around 100 000 000 free users.

That's a 100M people potential client base.

Let's imagine they make the plus version available to their worldwide database;

2. Freemium to Premium

Here is a quick benchmark of freemium to premium conversion rate;

- Spotify : 27%
- Evernote: 4.1%
- Dropbox: 4%
- Google drive: 0.5%

But typically, the freemium conversion rate is around 1-5%.

3. Monthly recurring revenue (MRR)

100M x 1% = 1 000 000

1 000 000 x $20= $20 000 000

That's a potential $20M MRR starting from the first month.

4. Potential Annual recurring revenue (ARR)

$20M x 12 = $240M

That's a potential ARR of $240M per year.

For the first year.

5. Churn rate

Some users will stop using the plus version.

The average annual churn rate for a SAAS company is 3-8%

Let's take the highest monthly churn rate: 8%

Why? Hypothesis: Because many users will try just for the hype in the first year.

6. Annual recurring revenue (ARR)

I will do a rough calculation and take out 8% of the yearly sales volume.

(That might not be an excellent way to do it but this post is getting too long)

$240M - 8% = 220 800 000

That's a great example of the combination of 3 powerful tactics:

- Freemium model
- Product-led growth
- Community-led growth

Probably the first example ever of this scale.

But don't forget the project started in 2015. They worked in the dark for 7 years.

PS: I made this simple calculation based on data available on the web. There is a high chance that it will be different as reality is way more complex. Only time will tell us.

We would also need an expert to review the calculations (especially on parts 5-6). Some people said in the comments we should ask ChatGPT, that makes sense!

Did you know that the Cartoon Network show "Courage the Cowardly Dog" predicted the development of the language model ChatGPT nearly two decades before it was even announced to the public? In an episode that aired in the late 1990s, the dog "Courage" was seen using a technology that is eerily similar to ChatGPT.

It is truly remarkable how the show was able to anticipate the advancements in technology and Artificial Intelligence. It just goes to show how visionary the show was, and how much we can still learn from it today.

For those of you who may not be familiar with ChatGPT, it's a language model developed by OpenAI that uses deep learning to generate human-like text based on a given prompt. It has been used in a variety of applications such as chatbots, language translation, and content creation.

Next time you watch "Courage the Cowardly Dog," keep an eye out for any other futuristic technologies that the creators may have predicted. It's always fascinating to see how art can anticipate the future

Is Google Losing its Dominance to ChatGPT?

We have all experimented with the multifaceted ChatGPT and have been left in awe of how concise and accurate its responses are. We see people comparing it to the all-knowing Google Search Engine but let’s take this debate to another route.

In terms of innovation, is extremely vigilant and has always come up with exciting new features. In the AI-powered Assistant industry, Google Assistant has shown promising results making it the leader when compared with Apple’s Siri, Amazon’s Alexa, Samsung’s Bixby, or any other virtual assistant.

But with every innovation, there are limits. Though Google Assistant can hold an intellectual conversation and help you automate events, it can’t code, come up with strategies, or give assistance in technical scenarios like ChatGPT can.

With this striking innovation that ChatGPT has brought to the digital landscape, Google is surely at threat of losing its dominance.

Currently, we have to go to ChatGPT’s URL, sign in, and then use it. But if we consider the power of ChatGPT aligning with the features of a virtual assistant like Google Assistant, the possibilities are unimaginable.

So will take the leap and experiment with Google Assistant to make it as versatile as or will they be outperformed by another virtual assistant?

✍️𝟑: Keyword Indexing and Ranking. Take those keywords at which your at least 6 competitors out of 10 are organically rank and index those keywords into your listings and also track those terms for ranking. You can use helium10 keyword tracker tool for tracking ranking.

✍️𝟒: Video on listings. There many ways you can manage video on to your listings. 1: go to 𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐙𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐄.𝐂𝐎𝐌. and ask influencers to make a video and post it. 2: Ask your friend to make video and post it on the listing.

✍️𝟓: Amazon Post. This feature is only available for those who has storefront. This is like Instagram post.

✍️𝟔: Bigger PPC Budgets. I know this is annoying. But when you will allocate bigger budgets amazon will show your ads at maximum placements. Maybe your full budget not consumed but your visibility will increase and you maximum potential sales.

✍️𝟕: Request a Review. Customer prefer to buy a product from those sellers who has good number of reviews.
