The Cosmic Forest is a short narrative film that depicts a witch who is stuck in a world of pain and suffering. She carries within her body the souls of 3 women from mythology, fiction, and history - namely Ramayana’s Surpnakha, Shakespeare’s Juliet, and the historical figure, Queen Cleopatra. The witch wants to get healing. She finds the answer in the forest when through dance she enters into a place of tranquility and her consciousness moves towards enlightenment and deliverance. Rumi, the 13th-century Persian poet has said:

Dance, when you are broken open.
Dance, if you have torn the bandage off.
Dance in the middle of the fighting.
Dance in your blood.
