سندھ میں 7 سے 10 ستمبر کے دوران وقفے وقفے سے شدید بارشوں کی پیشگوئی کی گئی ہے۔ ڈپٹی ڈائریکٹر موسمیات انجم نذیر ضیغم نے نجی ٹی وی سے گفتگو میں بتایا کہ ہوا کا کم دباؤ 6 ستمبر کو راجستھان اور سندھ کے قریبی علاقوں میں داخل ہوگا۔ اس کے نتیجے میں 6 ستمبر کی شام یا رات سے 9 ستمبر تک تھرپارکر، عمرکوٹ اور میرپورخاص میں بارش کا امکان ہے۔ اسی طرح سانگھڑ، خیرپور، شہید بینظیر آباد، مٹیاری، ٹنڈو الہیار اور ٹنڈو محمد خان میں بھی بارش متوقع ہے۔

انجم نذیر کے مطابق، کراچی کے مضافات میں 7 ستمبر کو ہلکی بارش ہوسکتی ہے جبکہ 8 سے 10 ستمبر کے دوران شہر کے مختلف علاقوں میں گرج چمک کے ساتھ بارش کا امکان ہے۔ انہوں نے خبردار کیا کہ کراچی میں کہیں کہیں شدید موسلادھار بارش ہوسکتی ہے جس کے باعث نشیبی علاقوں میں پانی جمع ہونے اور اربن فلڈنگ کا خطرہ بھی موجود ہے۔

The Provincial Rain and Flood Emergency Monitoring Cell has released the latest data on water inflows and outflows at rivers and barrages. At Trimmu Barrage, the inflow and outflow have been recorded at 526,385 cusecs. According to the Sindh Information Department, the inflow and outflow at Panjnad Barrage currently stand at 489,330 cusecs. At Guddu Barrage, the inflow is 390,704 cusecs while the outflow is 362,070 cusecs. At Sukkur Barrage, the inflow is 324,000 cusecs and the outflow 280,050 cusecs. Meanwhile, at Kotri Barrage, the inflow has been recorded at 244,283 cusecs and the outflow at 231,763 cusecs.

Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) has announced that a total lunar eclipse will be visible across Pakistan on the night of September 7.

According to SUPARCO, the eclipse will begin at 8:30 PM, reach its peak at 1:55 AM when the Earth’s shadow completely covers the Moon, and will continue until the last hours of the night.

The lunar eclipse will also be visible in parts of Asia, Africa, and Europe, while in most regions of Pakistan, the phenomenon can be observed clearly if the weather remains favorable.

National hockey team players have strongly criticized the proposed Rs.400 daily allowance, calling it an insult and saying it’s not even equal to a laborer’s wage. They said allowances are already delayed, and reducing them further is disrespectful. Players warned that if such conditions continue, they might be forced to quit hockey.
They added that despite giving everything for the country, hearing about Rs.400 allowances was deeply hurtful, as their households are struggling to survive.
On the other hand, Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Secretary Rana Mujahid stated that the federation provides a $100 daily allowance, questioning how players unhappy with $100 could play for Rs.400.
