Albania Seeks Stronger Trade, IT Ties with Pakistan

TIRANA (AIA) Albania's Honorary Consul in Pakistan Tahseen Sayed says Tirana is keen to strengthen and expand trade ties with Pakistan. After a meeting with Albania’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha in Tirana, she said they have discussed a number of practical initiatives to advance cooperation in IT, tourism and other sectors.

Tahseen Sayed also held productive meetings with representatives of Albanian private sector, academic and research institutions. 'BISP to Shift Payments to Digital Wallets from July

ISLAMABAD (AIA) Chairperson Benazir Income Support Program Rubina Khalid has said disbursements under Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) will be made through digital wallets from July this year. Addressing a news conference in Islamabad today, she said over eight million women have been provided with free mobile SIMs.

The Chairperson said transparency and accountability are the foremost priorities of Benazir Income Support Program. She said re-certification system has also been introduced so that only deserving people benefit from this program.

She said several countries in the world have appreciated Benazir Income Support Program which is Pakistan's largest social protection program. She mentioned that over ten million families are benefiting from Kafalat Program while twelve million children are receiving scholarship under Benazir Taleemi Wazaif.

ISLAMABAD (AIA) The Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency led a large-scale clean-up drive at Rawal Lake on World Environment Day 2026, partnering with Nestlé Pakistan and local volunteers.

The campaign mobilized students, civil society groups, and community members to collect hazardous and solid waste from the lake’s shores and surrounding areas. Volunteers recovered a significant volume of trash, including discarded syringes, hospital waste, and plastic items.
