By the grace of Allah Almighty, on September 22, 2025 a program namely “Shari’ah Expert in Islamic Banking” was organized by the Financial Inclusion Division of Banking Companies Services-State Bank of Pakistan in collaboration with Dar-ul-Uloom Amjadia-Karachi and Al-Suffah Institute of Islamic Economics to create awareness of Islamic banking among Shari’ah scholars. More than sixty Shari’ah scholars participated in this program. It was presided over by the Honorable Sahibzada Rehan Amjad Nomani, the Head of Dar-ul-Uloom Amjadia, while other Shari’ah scholars included the following:

Senior Mudarris, Islamic Economist and Shari’ah Board Member of MCB Islamic Bank Limited
2. Allama Sabir Hussain Noorani, Nazim-e-Talimat Jamia Anwar-ul-Quran-Karachi
3. M***i Syed Sabir Hussain,
Educationist and Islamic Economist and Head Shari’ah Compliance & RSB MCB Islamic Bank Limited
Mr. Iftikharullah, Assistant Director SBP-BSC Karachi and Mr. Daniyal Khan, Assistant Director SBP-BSC Karachi also participated. While in this program, renowned Islamic banker Mr. Ahmed Ali Siddiqui, Group Head Meezan Bank Ltd and Founding Director of IBA CEIF delivered a comprehensive lecture Islamic Banking. Recitation of the Holy Quran and Naat of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was presented by Mr. Qari Habibullah Sahib.
At the end of the program, the participants asked various questions regarding Islamic banking. Respected Ahmed Ali Siddiqui and M***i Syed Sabir Hussain addressed these questions. Finally, a quiz was also conducted to test the knowledge level of the participants and select the best among them. The program concluded with a prayer.
The State Bank of Pakistan will provide internship facilities in various Islamic banks to the participants who achieve the best performance in the quiz, as well as internship facilities also granted in various departments of State Bank of Pakistan.
