The 8th Gen i7 processors are based on Intel’s Coffee Lake (and some Kaby Lake-R) architecture.
Most desktop versions have 6 cores and 12 threads — a big jump from 7th Gen (which had 4 cores).
It supports DDR4 RAM (up to 2666 MHz for desktops).
It offers much better multitasking, speed, and efficiency compared to older generations.
