I have seen some posts recently about how Gen Z is barely showing up for Taraweeh, and I completely agree with it… While Millennials and older generations still attend Taraweeh, but Gen Z’s presence is almost non-existent…

And it’s all happening due to certain reasons…

For centuries, Taraweeh was honored with care and devotion, generation after generation.
But now, after 1,400 years, suddenly a couple of self-proclaimed scholars have cracked the code and “figured out” that it’s not Farz so it’s not that important, not that valuable, and it’s totally fine to skip it…

Even it’s legitimacy is being questioned…

And that narrative has spread at mass level.

Now, many see it as unnecessary, and the value we once held for it is slipping away…

The root cause?

Gen Z is learning Islam primarily via social media, where these opinions circulate.

They have cut off their connection with Masjid and Scholars long ago…

It was bound to happen and it’s happening now right infront of our eyes…

My hope is that we see through this and reconnect with our original core religious values.

It’s not about obligation, for us something being ‘Sunnah’ should be more than enough to do without skipping it or taking it lightly…

May ALLAH protect us from all the fitnahs and keep us on true religious path…

From Day 1 of marriage, Ahmed started sending 25,000 every month to his parents.
No excuses. No delays.
Parents lived in a small town. Simple life. No demands.
8 years passed.
24 lakh sent.
Ahmed always thought,
“At least they are comfortable.”
In 2024, his father passed away suddenly.
While arranging documents, his mother handed him a bank passbook.
Balance: 29.5 lac
Every rupee Ahmed sent… was saved.
Plus Fixed Deposit.
Inside the passbook, there was a small folded note:
“For your children’s future. Papa”
Ahmed thought he was supporting them.
They were silently building his safety net.
Moral:
Parents never stop being parents.
Even when you think you are the provider. ❤️
