Adventurer Abdul Basit has successfully reached Aksu in Xinjiang as part of his solo motorbike journey from Beijing to Islamabad, marking a major milestone in his 5,554 km "Capital to Capital" expedition.

Hailing from Khudaabad, Gojal Hunza, and founder of Higher Ground Expedition, Basit began his journey on 19 July 2025 from Beijing. The 15-day expedition aims to promote cross-border friendship and cultural understanding between Pakistan and China. Riding through Inner Mongolia, Xi’an, and Urumqi, Basit is navigating deserts, mountains, and diverse landscapes while documenting local stories and hospitality.

عطا آباد جھیل میں گٹر کا پانی چھوڑنے پر لیکسس ہوٹل کا ایک حصہ سیل ۔ 15 لاکھ روپے جرمانہ

ہنزہ : ہنزہ کی معروف عطاآباد جھیل میں گٹر کا پانی چھوڑنے کے حوالے سے بین الاقوامی وی لاگر کے وائرل وی لاگ کے بعد مدتوں سے سویا اور بااثر افراد کے لئے آنکھیں مکمل طور پر بند کرنے والے متعلقہ ادارہ اچانک جاگ گیا۔ دباؤ میں آکر لگژری ہوٹل لیکسس کا ایک حصہ گلگت بلتستان انوائرنمنٹل پروٹیکشن ایجنسی اور ضلعی انتظامیہ نے سیل کردیا۔

ای پی اے کے ڈائریکٹر خادم حسین کے مطابق ناقص انتظامات پر ہوٹل کے 30 کمروں کے ایک حصے کو سیل اور 15 لاکھ روپے جرمانہ کردیا گیا۔ ہوٹل نے ماحولیاتی تحفظ کے ضوابط اور سیفٹی سٹینڈرڈز کی سنگین خلاف ورزی کی ہے۔

حکام کا کہنا ہے کہ عطاآباد جھیل کے کنارے واقع تمام ہوٹلز کی مکمل جانچ پڑتال کی جائے گی تاکہ صفائی، ماحولیاتی تحفظ اور سیفٹی کے اصولوں پر مکمل عمل درآمد کو یقینی بنایا جا سکے۔

مزید کہا گیا ہے کہ کسی بھی خلاف ورزی کی صورت میں سخت کارروائی کی جائے گی تاکہ علاقے کی قدرتی خوبصورتی اور ماحول کو محفوظ رکھا جا سکے۔

Mr. Akber Ali Appointed as Head of RSDU Gilgit at AKESP

Hunza: Mr. Akber Ali, son of Amin Khan a resident of Khudaabad, has been appointed as the Head of the Regional School Development Unit (RSDU) Gilgit under the Aga Khan Education Service, Pakistan (AKESP).

He is currently serving as the Country Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for Pakistan at the Norwegian Red Cross.
