ISLAMABAD: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee on Wednesday announced that the 12th Rabiul Awwal will be observed on Tuesday, 17th September as the moon of the Islamic month is not sighted, ARY News reported.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee held its meeting in Islamabad, chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad, to determine the sighting of the new moon. However, there were no reports of the moon being sighted in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, or any other part of the country.

The Islamic month will begin on Friday (September 06) and Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) will be observed on 12th Rabiul Awwal on 17th September.

Pakistan premier batsman Babar Azam has slipped out of the top 10 ICC Test rankings for the first time in five years.

Azam who slipped to 9th number from 6th due to continued failure in the red ball game slipped out of the top 10 ICC Test rankings after failing to make any impact against Bangladesh in a two-match home series.

MONTEVIDEO: Uruguay icon Luis Suarez announced his retirement from international football on Monday, confirming that he will hang up his boots following Friday’s 2026 World Cup qualifier against Paraguay in Montevideo.

“Friday will be my last match for my country,” an emotional Suarez, 37, told a press conference.

“It was not an easy decision to make, but I do it with the peace of mind that I will give my maximum until the very last game of my (Uruguay) career.”

MASTUNG: In a horrific incident, a senior journalist Nisar Lehri has been shot dead in Gul Kand area of Mastung Balochistan, ARY News reported on Wednesday.

As per details, the police officials confirmed the incident, saying that the Press Club secretary Nisar Lehri was killed over a land dispute.

President of the Press Club Faiz Durani demanded immediate arrest of the culprits whereas SP Mastung stated that raid are being conducted to arrest the killers of the Nisar Lehri.

ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will take place today (Wednesday) for Rabi-ul-Awwal, 1446 AH moon sighting, ARY News reported.

Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee chairman Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad will preside over the meeting at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.

The meetings of zonal and district Ruet-e-Hilal committees will also be held at their respective headquarters to gather evidence about the moon sighting of Rabi-ul-Awwal.

Members of the Central and Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, including M***i Zameer Ahmed Sajid, M***i Muhammad Iqbal Naeemi, M***i Abdul Salam Jalali, Maulana Abu Bakar Siddiq, Maulana Haroon Rashid Balakoti, Allama Sajjad Hussain Jawadi, Pir Muhammad Mumtaz Ahmed Zia Nizami, and other religious scholars will attend the meeting.

Muslims around the world celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), also known as Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), on 12th of Rabiul Awwal — the third month of the Islamic lunar calendar.

Govt ‘releases’ Rs2bln for Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has released Rs2 billion for Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal, a welfare organization that provides financial assistance to needy individuals and families, ARY News reported citing sources.

According to sources, the funds will be used to address the backlog of thousands of pending applications for medical treatment, education, and financial assistance.

Previously, the lack of funds had resulted in over 28,000 applications being pending, including requests for medical treatment, educational scholarships, and financial assistance sources said.

Specifically, over 13,000 medical cases were pending, and the release of funds will now enable their processing.

Sources revealed that additionally, the daily wages of thousands of Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal employees, which were pending for two months, will now be paid.

The funds will be distributed to both federal and provincial offices of Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal, ensuring that assistance reaches those in need, sources added.

Earlier, a huge financial irregularities amounting to billions of rupees uncovered in Pakistan’s Bait-ul-Mal.

It was revealed that funds worth billions intended to be distributed among the underprivileged citizens of Pakistan were instead distributed among government employees.

According to a recent audit report, financial irregularities exceeding Rs 2 billion were uncovered, specifically, Rs 281 million were distributed to government employees from the Pakistan’s Bait-ul-Mal, which was earmarked for the poor citizens.

سعودی عرب میں حرمین شریفین انتظامیہ کی جانب سے مسجد نبوی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم میں ایک ہفتے کے دوران آنے والے زائرین کے اعدادو شمار جاری کئے گئے ہیں۔

سعودی خبر رساں ادارے کی رپورٹ کے مطابق حرمین شریفین انتظامیہ نے بتایا کہ ایک ہفتے کے دوران مسجد نبویؐ کا 57 لاکھ 35 ہزار 16 افراد نے دورہ کیا، پانچ لاکھ 27 ہزار152 زائرین نے روضہ رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم پر حاضری دی۔

اس سے قبل ایک بیان میں سعودی عرب میں مقدس مساجد کے امور کی جنرل اتھارٹی کا کہنا تھا کہ مسجد نبوی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم 1445 ھ میں ایک سال کے دوران 281 ملین زائرین اور نمازیوں نے حاضری دی، جو گزشتہ ھجری سال کے مقابلے میں 25 ملین زیادہ ہیں‘۔

مسجد نبویؐ روضہ شریفہ میں 11 ملین افراد نے نماز ادا کی اور روضہ رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم پر نذرانہ عقیدت پیش کیا، پچھلے سال کے مقابلے میں یہ تعداد 1.8 ملین زیادہ ہے۔

روضہ شریفہ کا رقبہ 330 مربع میٹر ہے جس میں فی گھنٹہ 800 افراد کی گنجائش ہے۔ اوسطا ہر آنے والوں کو 10منٹ کا وقت دیا جاتا ہے۔

واضح رہے کہ روضہ شریفہ میں زائرین کے داخلے کو آسان بنانے کے لیے چار مراحل سے گزرنا پڑتا ہے، سب سے پہلے نسک اور توکلنا ایپلیکیشن کے ذریعے اپائنمنٹ کی تصدیق، ای ڈیوائسز سے کیو آر کوڈ سکین کرنا پھر زائرین کو کچھ دیر انتظار کے بعد روضہ شریفہ میں بھیج دیا جاتا ہے۔

بونیر: خاتون ٹیچر کو شادی سے انکار پر والد کے سامنے قتل کردیا گیا، پولیس نے ایف آئی آر درج کرکے تفتیش شروع کردی ہے۔

تفصیلات کے مطابق بونیر میں لیڈی ٹیچر کو اس کے والد کے سامنے قتل کر دیا گیا، پولیس نے بتایا کہ جنگدرہ طوطالئے میں ملزم نے شادی سے انکار پر خاتون پر فائرنگ کردی اور چالیس سالہ خاتون ٹیچر کو قتل کرکے فرار ہوگیا۔

لیڈی ٹیچر کے قتل پر اساتذہ تنظیموں نے احتجاج کا اعلان کردیا جبکہ طوطالئے پولیس نے ایف آئی آر درج کرکے تفتیش شروع کردی ہے۔

مقتولہ کے والد نے بتایا کہ ملزم نے پہلے بھی ٹیچر پر حملہ کیا تھا، جس سے پولیس کو آگاہ کیا گیا تھا تاہم کوئی خاطر خواہ کارروائی نہیں کی گئی۔

یک خاتون سکول ٹیچر کو مبینہ طور پر شادی کی پیشکش سے انکار پر ملزم نے اس کے والد کے سامنے قتل کر دیا۔

سابق چیئرمین پی سی بی ذکا اشرف نے ٹی ٹوئنٹی کپتان بابر اعظم اور شاہین آفریدی کے درمیان اختلافات کی افواہوں پر اپنے خیالات کا اظہار کیا ہے۔

پاکستان کرکٹ بورڈ مینجمنٹ کمیٹی کے سابق چیئرمین ذکا اشرف نے شاہین آفریدی اور بابر اعظم کے درمیان اختلافات کی افواہوں کو مسترد کردیا ہے، ان کا دعویٰ ہے کہ شاہین کی بحیثیت ٹی ٹوئنٹی کپتان تقرری کے بعد ٹیم کا اتحاد حقیقت میں بہتر ہوا۔

نجی چینل کو انٹرویو میں ذکا اشرف نے کہا کہ بابر اعظم کو کپتانی سے ہٹانے کے بعد اتحاد ختم نہیں ہوا بلکہ ٹیم کے اتحاد میں بہتری آئی، ہم نے بطور کھلاڑی بابر کو کھیلنے کے لیے کہا کیوں کہ بحیثیت کپتان ان کی کارکردگی اچھی نہیں تھی تو وہ راضی ہوگئے۔ ‘

ان کا کہنا تھا کہ پاکستان ٹیم میں کوئی گروپ بندی نہیں تھی، ٹیم اچھی تھی، ہم شان مسعود کو کپتان بنا کر لائے کیوں کہ وہ بہت اچھے کپتان تھے، وہ اب بھی بہت اچھا کھلاڑی ہے۔

ذکا اشرف نے کہا کہ ہم انتظامیہ محمد حفیظ کو لے کر آئے جو کہ ایک بہترین کرکٹر اورایماندار شخص ہیں جبکہ عمر گل، سعید اجمل اور ان کھلاڑیوں کو بھی ساتھ لائے تاکہ کوچنگ اسٹاف ٹیم کے ساتھ رہے۔

نیتن یاہو نے برطانیہ کی جانب سے کچھ ہتھیاروں کو فراہم نہ کرنے کو شرمناک قرار دے دیا۔

وزیر اعظم کا کہنا ہے کہ برطانوی حکومت نے اسرائیل کو اسلحہ برآمد کرنے کے کچھ لائسنس معطل کرکے ایک ’’شرمناک فیصلہ‘‘ کیا ہے۔

برطانوی برآمدات اسرائیل کو حاصل ہونے والے کل ہتھیاروں کے 1 فیصد سے بھی کم ہیں۔ وزیر نے کہا کہ معطلی سے اسرائیل کی سلامتی پر کوئی مادی اثر نہیں پڑے گا اور برطانیہ اپنے دفاع کے حق کی حمایت جاری رکھے گا۔

نیتن یاہو نے ایک سوشل میڈیا پوسٹ میں کہا کہ یہ شرمناک فیصلہ نسل کشی کی دہشت گرد تنظیم حماس کو شکست دینے کے لیے اسرائیل کے عزم کو تبدیل نہیں کرے گا۔

ان کا کہنا تھا کہ برطانوی ہتھیاروں کے ساتھ یا اس کے بغیر، اسرائیل یہ جنگ جیت کر ہمارا مشترکہ مستقبل محفوظ کر لے گا۔

ایک اسرائیلی وزیر نے بی بی سی کو بتایا کہ ہتھیاروں کی فروخت روکے جانے کے فیصلے سے ’’غلط پیغام‘‘ گیا اور یہ ’’مایوس کن‘‘ ہے۔ اسرائیل کے وزیر برائے تارکین وطن امور امیچائی چکلی نے کہا کہ یہ فیصلہ ایک ایسے انتہائی حساس لمحے پر آیا ہے، جب اسرائیلی ’’حماس کی سرنگوں میں مارے گئے 6 افراد‘‘ کی تدفین کر رہے تھے۔

میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے انھوں نے کہا ہمیں مل کر دہشت گردی کا مقابلہ کرنے کی ضرورت ہے، وزیر برائے تارکین وطن نے مایوسی کے عالم میں غزہ میں صہیونی بربریت کو ’’مغربی تہذیب اور بنیاد پرست اسلام کے درمیان جنگ‘‘ قرار دیا اور حماس کو داعش اور القاعدہ کی صف میں شمار کیا۔

اسرائیلی وزیر خارجہ اسرائیل کاٹز نے ہتھیاروں کی فروخت روکے جانے کے فیصلے پر ردعمل میں کہا کہ ’’اسرائیل بین الاقوامی قوانین کے مطابق چل رہا ہے۔‘‘ چیف ربی سر ایفرائیم میرویس نے سوشل میڈیا پر لکھا کہ یہ اقدام ’’ناقابل یقین‘‘ ہے اور اس ’’جھوٹ کو تقویت پہنچاتا ہے کہ اسرائیل بین الاقوامی انسانی قانون کی خلاف ورزی کر رہا ہے۔‘‘

انھوں نے لکھا کہ افسوس کی بات یہ ہے کہ یہ اعلان ہمارے مشترکہ دشمنوں کی حوصلہ افزائی کرے گا۔
