​Ultrasound clip demonstrating a congenital fusion anomaly where the lower poles of the left and right kidneys are connected across the midline by an isthmus of functioning parenchyma or fibrous tissue. The Pelvic Appendix: A Great Urinary Mimicker 🎯🩺
​Ever seen a "bull’s-eye sign" right next to the bladder?
​In this case, we are looking at an acute pelvic appendicitis. Because of its unique anatomical position deep in the pelvis, it comes with a specific set of sonographic and clinical rules:
​The Ultrasound Checklist: Non-compressible, non-peristaltic, blind-ended pouch exhibiting the classic target/bull's-eye sign.
​The Clinical Trap: Because the inflamed appendix rests right against the urinary bladder, these patients often present with urinary frequency, urgency, or painful urination (dysuria)—frequently getting misdiagnosed as a UTI!
​Always look deeper when pelvic symptoms don't quite add up.

In this video, we are breaking down the classic sonographic findings of acute appendicitis. When scanning a patient with right lower quadrant pain, look for these definitive criteria:
​Tubular Structure with a Blind Ending: Unlike the bowel, the appendix ends in a blind pouch.
​Non-Compressibility: High-frequency compression will not collapse the inflamed lumen.
​Increased Diameter: Normal appendix diameter should be < 6 mm. In this case, it measures a significant 12 mm.
​The "Target" or "Bull’s-Eye" Sign: Seen beautifully in the transverse view, representing the concentric layers of the inflamed appendiceal wall.

جگر کے امراض، بالخصوص CLD (Chronic Liver Disease) کی تشخیص میں الٹراساؤنڈ ایک بنیادی کردار ادا کرتا ہے۔ حال ہی میں ایک 60 سالہ مریض پیٹ میں درد کی شکایت کے ساتھ تشریف لائے، جن کے معائنے میں جگر کی خرابی کی واضح علامات سامنے آئیں:
​جگر کا سکڑنا: جگر کا سائز نارمل سے کم ہو چکا تھا اور اس کی سطح میں بے قاعدگی (Irregular Margins) موجود تھی۔
​تلی کا بڑھ جانا (Splenomegaly): جگر کی خرابی کے باعث تلی کا سائز بھی بڑھا ہوا پایا گیا۔
