Struggle is real! 😄
Hello everyone, I’m Hamza Farooqui. Today, I want to share my journey as a caster, the struggles I faced, and how I overcame them
My Free Fire career began in 2018, when esports was still in its infancy. I played with friends just for fun, but as time passed, my friends started to quit, and I made new friends who shared my passion for the game.
When Free Fire esports tournaments were introduced, my interest grew, but I didn’t have a team. I spent a year just watching and learning. I was always fascinated by commentary, especially in cricket and football.
In 2020, I created a YouTube channel during my vacations, where I provided voiceover commentary for Pakistan’s esports teams’ clash squad matches. The leader of House of Blood noticed my channel and offered me a chance to cast for their organization, HOB.
I agreed and started casting for HOB. That’s when I realized my passion for casting and pursued it relentlessly. In 2022, HOB disbanded due to unforeseen circumstances, but I continued casting for other organizations.
I faced many challenges, including a project being taken away from me due to electricity issues in Karachi. However, I persevered and eventually landed a permanent role as a caster for RZX Esports.
One of the highlights of my career was casting for the Free Fire World Cup Pakistan Qualifier in April 2024. It was an incredible moment, and I felt proud to be a part of it.
Today, I’m grateful to be working with RZX Esports, casting for local-level tournaments. I’ve learned that to achieve something, you have to sacrifice something else. I’ve spent countless weekends dedicating myself to casting, but now I’m able to balance my work, family, and education.
Thank you for reading my story 🤍
