A Defeat in the 2nd T20I:
Keynotes from today's game:
1- Our bowlers went for plenty of runs in the first 10 overs. In middle overs RR was in control until Shadab again conceded a 20 runs over after a good third over. Still at the death, bowlers managed well to restrict England below par score.
2- Shadab's consistent inclusion in the team is beyond logic.
3- If we are really experimenting, then why not give the ball to Saim Ayub and Iftikhar for an over or two.
3- Shadab Khan is easily replaceable by Salman Ali Agha/Aamer Jamal.
4- We had a poor start in the batting, losing two quick wickets.
5- Saim Ayub again not delivering and not making use of the chances he is given. Suddenly it feels like we are not sure what his batting strength is. Still not able to find his mojo. He is getting out of the same position while playing a pull or flick.
6- Usman Khan can be tried as an opener instead of Saim Ayub. (Suggestion).
7- Great recovery in the powerplay by Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam.
8- Babar tried a different approach against Archer and others and looked in decent touch after struggling a bit. Got out on a crucial stage on some ordinary and nothing delivery by Moeen Ali. Shouldn't have thrown his wicket.
9- Azam Khan not sticking to his strength and that is power hitting. After hitting 2 beautiful fours he thought he could play more cover drives and didn't get the elevation and that was a bizarre dismissal in my opinion.
10- Iftikhar Ahmed in the end showed Zero game awareness and taking unnecessary assault on Topley in the last ball of the over when we already had 16 runs on 5 Balls. He didn't take the game deep and not realizing that was a last recognized pair is one of the most careless things we saw today. Brainless power hitting is useless for the team.
11- Fakahr Zaman is sorting out our middle order problems in the shorter format of the game is a good prospect.
