A gesture of love and solidarity at St. Roque’s Parish, Pasrur

St. Roque’s Catholic Church, Pasrur, recently welcomed Rev. Fr. Francis Gulzar and the dear sisters, who reached out with love to support the flood-affected families of the parish. Through the generous distribution of food items, clothing, and daily essentials, many households received much-needed relief and comfort.

This act of love and solidarity is a living witness of the Gospel — standing beside those in hardship and reflecting Christ’s compassion for His people.

Prayers and Support for Flood-Affected Families

As of August 28, 2025, heavy flooding along the Chenab and Sutlej rivers has caused severe damage across Southern and Central Punjab, especially in Daska District. Several villages of St. Mary’s Parish, Jamke Cheema have been badly affected—homes submerged, crops destroyed, and livestock lost.

Under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Azeem John, OFM (Parish Priest), the parish pastoral team and parishioners are actively visiting the affected families and distributing essential food supplies (rashan). Their presence is a sign of the Church’s care and solidarity with those suffering.

We invite all faithful to keep the flood-affected families in your prayers. May God grant them protection, courage, and strength in this difficult time.
