مجھے مرغ، بکرے اور مچھلی کے سوا تمام جانوروں سے دلی محبت ہے۔ کٹا بس کھولنے کے لئے ہی اچھا ہے۔ دال سبزی بھی کھا لیتا ہوں بشرطیکہ اس میں قیمہ رچا بسا ہو۔ تیتر، بٹیر، مرغابی کے سوا تمام پرندوں سے عشق ہے۔ میرا ایمان ہے کہ اس شخص کی مسلمانی پر شک کرنا چاہیئے جو گوشت خور نہ ہو۔خالی دال اگر ہو تو بہت سی ہو۔ مجھے دال چاول یوں پسند ہیں کہ چاول کا انگ انگ دال میں ڈوبا رقص و مستاں ہو۔

خالی سبزی ماسوائے بھنڈی کے قابل قبول نہیں۔ سبزی کا لطف گوشت ہی دوبالا کرتا ہے۔ خالی سبزی تو مجھے اداس لگتی ہے۔ آپ خالی آلو، گوبھی، بینگن الغرض کوئی سبزی ذرا غور سے ایک آدھ منٹ تو دیکھیں، آپ کو وہ اداس نظر آئیں گی اور زیادہ غور کرنے پر آپ کی اپنی طبیعت اداس ہو جائے گی۔

ہمارے ہاں ہر روز کا معمول ایک ہی سوال ہوتا ہے۔ دن کا آغاز ہوتے ہی بیگمات پوچھتی ہیں “ آج کیا پکانا ہے ؟”۔ قسم لے لیجئیے کہ چاہے شادی کو دس برس سے زائد بیت چکے ہوں ، جذبات پر اوس اور عمر پر خزاں آ چکی ہو مگر بیگمات کا یہ سوال سدا بہار ہے۔سمجھ نہیں آتی کہ ان سارے برسوں میں بیگمات کو شوہر کی پسند ناپسند کیونکر نہیں دکھائی دیتی یا یہ جان بوجھ کر ایسا کرتیں ہیں۔ میرا دوست خرم مشتاق تو اتنا بیزار ہوا کہ اب وہ گذشتہ تین سالوں سے کھانا خود بناتا ہے۔ کہتا ہے میں نے ایک دن تنگ آ کر سوچا کہ یہ ٹنٹنا ہی ختم کیا جاوے۔ آئے روز بس اسی سوال پر لڑائی ہو جایا کرتی تھی۔ چلو خرم نے تو کچن سنبھال لیا مگر میرے جیسے بندے کیا کریں جن کو پکانے میں کوئی دلچسپی ہی نہ ہو ؟

اپنی زوجہ کم اور ماجدہ زیادہ ہیں۔ بالکل اماں مرحومہ سا سلوک کرتیں ہیں۔ روز پوچھتی تھیں “ آج کیا کھائیں گے ؟” ۔ روز بتا دیتا تھا اور جب شام کو گھر واپسی ہوتی تو پکا وہی ہوتا جو بیگم کا دل چاہتا۔ اگر میں کہتا کہ یار یہ کیا پکا دیا ہے ؟ تو آگے سے جواب آتا “ چپ کر کے کھائیں، اتنا مزیدار تو بنا ہے”۔ پھر بھی احتجاج کرنا چاہتا تو مجھے اس کے چہرے میں اماں نجانے کیوں نظر آنے لگتی۔ اماں کو جب کہتا “ میں نے یہ نہیں کھانا” تو اماں آگے سے چنگھاڑ کے بولتی “ چپ کر کے کھا لے یا پھر پہلے چھتر کھانے ہیں ؟”۔ میں بھی اتنا کم عقل ہوتا تھا کہ پہلے چھتر کھاتا پھر چپ کر کے کھانا کھاتا۔ اب ہمت نہیں رہی اس واسطے پہلے چپ کر کے کھانا کھا لیتا ہوں۔

ایک دن آفس جانے سے قبل مجھے بولی “ قیمہ کریلے پکاؤں گی۔ آپ بتا دیں کہ کریلے کاٹ کر بنانے ہیں یا کریلے میں قیمہ بھر کر بنانا ہے ؟”۔ میں نے چلتے چلتے کہہ دیا “ تم جیسے بھی بنا لو ذائقہ تو ایک سا ہی آتا ہے”۔ بس صاحبو اس رات کھانے میں دال ملی اور وہ بھی ماش کی دال جو مجھے خاص پسند نہیں۔

اب تو عرصہ ہوا مجھے دائمی سکون نصیب ہو چکا ہے۔ وہ جب پوچھتی ہے کہ آج کیا بناؤں تو میں سنجیدہ ہو کر کہہ دیتا ہوں “ تم جو بھی بنا لو مزیدار ہوتا ہے”۔ اور وہ بھی سنجیدہ لے لیتی ہے۔ مسئلہ تو یہ بھی ہے کہ جس دن میں کھانے کے ساتھ اچار یا کسی چٹنی کا استعمال کرنا چاہوں تو جھٹ سے بولے گی “ نمک مرچ کم ہے ؟ مزے کا نہیں لگ رہا ؟”۔ اس سوال کا جواب ہاں میں دوں تو بھی مسئلہ ہے اور ناں میں دوں تو بھی ۔۔۔

رمضان سے قبل ایک رات بیگم کھانا لائی۔ ساتھ ہری مرچ لائی۔ میں نے ذرا سی مرچ کے ساتھ ایک لقمہ لیا تو میرے پسینے چھوٹ گئے۔ اسے کہا کہ کیسی زہریلی تیکھی مرچ ہے یہ بیگم ؟۔ اس نے سُن کر روانی میں کہا " یہ تو کچھ بھی نہیں آپ کبھی کراچی کی مرچ کھا کر دیکھیں" ۔ میں نے بھی نجانے کس دھیان میں جواب دیا " کراچی کی مرچ ہی تو کھا رہا ہوں کئی سالوں سے" ( بیگم کا تعلق کراچی سے ہے) ۔ اس نے سنتے ہی مجھے زہریلی نگاہوں سے گھورا۔

کھانا تو جیسے تیسے میں نے کھا لیا مگر مرچ نہ کھانے کے باوجود کافی دیر تک میرے کانوں سے دھواں نکلتا رہا۔ بیگم نے پھر وہی کیسٹ چلا لی جو مجھے ازبر ہو چکی ہے۔ جس کے مطابق اس کی پیدائش سے لے کر آج تک کی ساری محرومیوں کا ذمہ دار صرف و صرف میں ہوں۔

An open letter to all those trying to heal-

Dearest all,

I just wanted to write for the souls who turn their sadness into adorable laughs-
Those who die every night but still choose to live every next day-Those who are a source of motivation to others even when they forget to motivate themselves-
Those who wipe the tears of others but never let anyone know how they cry alone-
Those who are kind to everyone even when they are treated like nothing-
Those who care for others without getting anything in return-
Those who are trying to fix others when they themselves are broken-

I swear i know how difficult it is to drag yourself through the toughest of times...To look at others and feel a disappointment...To go through pain with every beat of your heart...To just waking up every morning and feeling numb...

When Prophet(S.A.W) was feeling down because no one would believe him, Allah went on to reveal Surah Taha and said ," We did not reveal the Qur’ān to you to (make you) face hardship"... And then went on to tell the story of Musa(AS) just to console his Beloved Prophet...

Take heed from the stories of the Prophets- Each one of them had to go through hardships but eventually, they found their way...

So PLEASE, don't give up on the RABB who has promised to not burden a soul beyond their capacity...He knows you inside out...Everything will pass through In Sha Allah...You've already come so far...Just don't give up on yourself...The pain you're going through is not permanent..

And most importantly, try to get close to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'alaa...Focus on your Ibaadah, seek His help- He'll never leave you empty-handed...A few drops of tears in front of Him is all it takes...It's just a matter of "Kun" for Him...

Allah has mentioned in the Qur’an
"Along with the hardship there is ease"
When He Himself has promised something, all you need to do is have some faith and be patient...It's surely going to be alright...It always will...

May Allah ease and heal all our pains and scars away!❤️❤️
