A teacher always avoided telling her students, “Your answer is wrong.”

Sometimes, when a student gave a completely irrelevant answer, her remark was powerful enough to stay in their minds: “Your answer is absolutely correct, but not for this question—perhaps for another one.”

👨‍ کلاس میں اسکول کے ایک نئے استاد داخل ہوتے ہیں تھوڑا سا تعارف لے دے کر بچوں کا ٹیسٹ لینے کے لیے ایک سوال کرتے ہیں. اور اشارہ اس بچے کی طرف کر دیتے ہیں جو کلاس کا سب سے نا لائق بچہ ہوتا ہے. استاد کا اشارہ دیکھ کر کلاس کے دوسرے بچے ہنسنے لگتے ہیں. کہ استاد جی نے جواب دینے کے لیے اٹھایا بھی تو کس بچے کو .....
لیکن استاد تو پھر استاد ہی ہوتا ہے.
ان کو سمجھ آ گئی کہ یہ کلاس کا سب سے نالائق بچہ ہو گا
اسی لیے سب بچے ہنس رہے ہیں. استاد نے بچے کو بیٹھنے کے لیے کہا اور درس دینے میں مصروف ہو گئے.
چھٹی کے وقت استاد نے اس نالائق بچے کو اپنے پاس بلا لیا
اور جب سب بچے چلے گئے تو استاد نے اس بچے کو ایک سوال دیا اور اس کا جواب بھی لکھ کر دیا. اور کہا کہ اسے یاد کر لو اور کل جب میں کلاس میں سوال کروں گا. تو یہ جواب تم نے مجھے کلاس میں دینا ہے.
بچے نے وہ سوال اور جواب یاد کر لیا.
دوسرے دن جب استاد کلاس میں آئے تو انھوں نے وہی سوال جو اس نالائق بچے کو دیا تھا. ساری کلاس سے پوچھا
سوال تھوڑا مشکل تھا. تو سب بچے خاموش ہو گئے لیکن وہی نالائق بچہ جس کو استاد نے سوال یاد کرنے کا کہا تھا اس نے اپنا ہاتھ بلند کیا کہ میں اس کا جواب دیتا ہوں. سب بچے جو کل ہنس رہے تھے حیرانگی سے اس کی طرف دیکھنے لگے. استاد نے اس بچے کو کہا ہاں جواب دو. بچے نے فر فر اس سوال کا جواب سنا دیا..
استاد نے شاباش دی اور اسے بیٹھنے کو کہا.
اب اس نالائق بچے میں خوشی کے ساتھ ساتھ خود اعتمادی پیدا ہونا شروع ہو چکی تھی.
استاد روزانہ اس بچے کے ساتھ یہی عمل دھراتے رہے .
اور پھر آخر وہ دن بھی آیا جب وہ نالائق بچہ اپنی کلاس کا سب سے لائق اور پر اعتماد بچہ بن چکا تھا....
