The Princess of the Mountains Entrusted to the Mountains

Pakistani mountaineer Asma Mustafa tragically lost her life on the descent after summiting Spantik Peak. Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Rajeoon...

According to reports, Asma Mustafa successfully summited the 7,027-meter-high Spantik Peak. However, during her descent, she could not survive due to deteriorating health at a high altitude.

Asma Mustafa was a talented mountaineer. Her dream was also to conquer K2. In pursuit of that dream, she had summited challenging peaks like Chorko in winter and Sukai Sar in summer. After that, she went to England, but her love and passion for Pakistan's mountains never faded.

Asma's death was perhaps written among those very mountains where her heart resided. Fellow mountaineers have testified that she was a very innocent, simple, and pure-hearted girl.

Today, their hearts are deeply saddened. She is no longer among them. Deep grief and sorrow are being expressed in mountaineering circles over this tragic news. She was a guiding torch for many young girls who wanted to enter this field.

May Allah forgive Asma, grant her a high station in Jannat al-Firdous, and bestow beautiful patience upon her family. Ameen, O Lord of the Worlds.
