I reduced my phone usage by up to 70%.
We used to hear in childhood that "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy". And I've experienced this very deeply.
Last week, I took a short break from my work routine and went into the woods.
Our mind needs to relax at some place where there is no internet, no mobile connectivity, no email notifications, and no work; just PEACE!
I won't say everybody should go to the countryside and spend some days to get relaxed.
You can just go to some peaceful park near to your home, early in the morning, when the sun is rising. It is the best time to get healed.
Here are the benefits I got from this short break:
- Reduced the mobile & screen usage. So you'll have less distraction and spend more time in nature and with yourself. Nature heals you! It relaxes your mind and gives your soul a space to breathe.
- Go for a trek. We used to sit all day in our offices and that makes us lazy. Trekking would be tough, and your body will get tired. But your body needs to get tired sometimes, so it would know this too is a part of life.
P.S. It was a local trek near the place where I went.
- Take a cold shower. It will make your immune system strong, reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety, improve blood circulation, and increase your metabolism.
- Do an activity of your choice that you always wanted to do, but couldn't find time to do so. Like reading your favorite book, writing your life story, or having a group of friends with you on a trip to make life-long memories.
Remember, money won't heal you. If you're broken inside, go to the nature and woods.
