How did you respond to your target group?
See the world from their point of view?
Observe your exact behavior?
When our team took classes with Mark Ritson, who advises blue-chip companies like Heineken and Apple, We learned extremely important things about branding.
"You are not a consumer"
No matter how qualified you think you are to think on behalf of your target consumers - the truth is you are not. 🥲
Mark Ritson shares another insight...
"The first rule of marketing is that you have to admit you're an idiot -- and you... don't know anything."
It sounds harsh, jerky, spicy...yes!
But it's the truth, stop assuming - start observing. True marketing never assumes, it observes behavior, data, patterns, insights - and then thoroughly fact-checks them.
Make DETAIL the ultimate, thorough, methodical, concise, precise and other "precise" word level.
Only then...you have the foundation to start thinking about your brand identity - why? Because you're not designing something you like; that's what hobbyists do.
You need to design a brand that consumers (not you) love!
When you start your business, start here, not with your logo, fonts or colors.
