A $70 million, 36-storey technology tower named "The Mark" is set to be built in Lahore, following the zone development agreement signed by CODE Science and Technology Park (CODE STP) with the Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA).

This project, facilitated by a Pakistani privately managed technology zone company, aims to support export-oriented technology firms in services, research and development (R&D), and product markets.

Expected to be functional by 2026, "The Mark" will accommodate up to 7,000-8,000 people in a single shift, becoming the tallest technology tower in Lahore's Johar Town. The facility will cater to various technology sectors, benefitting from STZA's fiscal and monetary incentives program.

Farhan Khan, a renowned footballer from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and a former member of the Pakistan Football U-19 team, tragically lost his life after being struck by an unidentified vehicle on Swabi-Jehangira Road.

Following the incident, Farhan Khan was initially taken to District Hospital Swabi and subsequently transferred to CMH Hospital Rawalpindi. In the early hours of Saturday, he was further moved to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH), where he ultimately succumbed to head injuries.

A highly skilled footballer, Farhan Khan had previously been selected for the National U19 team and was an active player for Pakistan Air Force (Islamabad). He also held the distinction of being the cousin of Wasim Dada, a well-known footballer and coach in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In response to this tragic event, the community has announced a walk scheduled for March 5th at Aman Chowk, advocating for the apprehension of the individual responsible for the accident.

The Pakistani Rupee has experienced a decline against the US Dollar following the circulation of news regarding Ishaq Dar becoming the Finance Minister.

The exchange rate for one US Dollar against Pakistani rupees was reported at Rs 279.3 in both the local and open markets, with a selling rate of Rs 282.4.
