OpenAI said in a post on X that it is opening new offices in multiple cities, including NYC, Seattle, Paris, Brussels, and Singapore, in addition to its existing locations in San Francisco, London, Dublin and Tokyo, as part of the company’s global expansion efforts.

The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences today announced the Nobel Prize in Chemistry winners for 2024, with DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis and Director John Jumper sharing one-half of the prize, with David Baker — who is head of the Institute for Protein Design at the University of Washington — securing the other half.

Barcelona has completed the signing of Ilkay Gundogan as per multiple reports.
Manchester City treble winning captain has just completed his Barcelona transfer.

Leo Messi is the 2023 Laureus World Sportsman of the Year.
Leo Messi won his 2nd Laureus award last night. He is the only footballer to won this precious award. He first won it in 2020 and now won it again in 2023.
Laureus awards are as important in sports history as Oscars in film industry and Messi is the only footballer to won it. Also Argentina National Team won the team of the year.

King Charles III coronation ceremony held yesterday.
In front of a congregation of about 100 world leaders and a television audience of millions, the Archbishop of Canterbury, the spiritual leader of the Anglican Church, slowly placed the 360-year-old St Edward’s Crown on Charles’ head as he sat upon a 14th-century throne in Westminster Abbey.
Gun salutes were fired at the Tower of London and across the capital, the nation, in Gibraltar, Bermuda and on ships at sea. “God save King Charles. Long live King Charles. May the king live forever,” the congregation at the abbey said after a trumpet funfare.
During the historic and solemn two-hour service, which dates back to the time of William the Conqueror in 1066, Charles’ second wife Camilla was also crowned queen.

Bushra Bibi serves legal notice to Maryam Nawaz over defamatory accusations.
The wife of ex-prime minister Imran Khan, served a legal notice to PML-N Cheif Organiser Maryam Nawaz on Thursaday for hurling for false, defamatory and slanderous accusations during a recent public speech.
The notice said that Maryam had accused Bushra of taking "five-caret gold rings as bribes for getting documents signed by authorities".
Also notice said that such speech of Maryam is a part of vicious campaign aimed to harm and defame Bushra Bibi and her family.
Notice demands Maryam to withdraw her statements and issue an apology to Bushra Bibi within seven days.

Islamabad High Court granted protective bail for 10 days to Former PM Imran Khan.
On May 4, the IHC had extended Khan's bail in seven cases till May 14 and extended interim bail till May 9 in two other cases.
A two member bench comprising IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Maingul Hassan Aurangzeb heard the cases.
PTI Vice- Chairman SMQ, Secretory General Asad Umar, party leaders Fawad Ch, Ali Mohd.Khan, Maleeka Bokhari and Babar Awan were among the PTI members present inside the court room.

ARY CEO Salman Iqbal's eldest daughter Sumaiya passed away in Dubai.

The elder daughter of CEO ARY Digital Network Mr Salman Iqbal has passed away in Dubai.
The funeral prayers and burial of Sumaiya Salman will take place in Dubai today.
Sumaiya Salman the daughter of Salman Iqbal and his first wife Sabeen was a child with special needs who passed away at the age of 24.
The news of her demise was reported by Ary News channel tomorrow and by official page of Karachi Kings.

Babar Azam becomes the first Pakistani captain to win ODI series against three SENA nations. 💚
Pakistani Skipper and Classical Batter Babar Azam is now making records as captain. By winning the ongoing ODI series against New Zealand Babar Azam become the first Pakistani Captain to win against 3 SENA nations in ODIs. Babar side earlier beat South Africa and Australia in 2021 and 2022 respectively. Now they won against New Zealand in 2023.
Also Babar is near to set another personal milestone of scoring fastest 5000 ODI runs. Its been more than two years he is No 1 ODI batter and no one is even close to him as per ICC rankings. 🏏

A young man dies from gun shot during Napoli's celebration of winning Seria A.
Italian side Napoli won their first league title in 33 years on Thursday, as they drew the match with Udinese 1-1. Fans came to celebrate on the pitch and all over the city. Fans celebrated their win with intense fire works from which many people got injured. A 26 years old boy shot with gun bullets and died in hospital. Police reported that 2 other people were found injured with bullets. They have to investigate whether its intentional or by mistake.
Napoli won their first league after after 1990, when Dieogo Maradono led them to glory. Napoli have now three Seria A titles on their name.

Pakistan for the very first time in history becomes the No.1 ODI team as new ICC rankings stand. Pakistan thrashes New Zealand in home series 4-0, still one game to go. Pakistan won 4th ODI by 102 runs and got their reward and Babar Azam is the super captain to achieve this milestone.The Men in Green now have a rating of 113.483, going past Australia and India in ICC ODI rankings

Also Babar broke another record of Hashim Amla, scoring fastest 5000 ODI runs in just 98 innings while Hashim Amla achieved this milestone in 104 ODI innings.
