The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: If anyone recited two verses from the last of Surah al-Baqarah at night, they will be sufficient for him. [Sahih Bukhari - 5009]
When we sleep at night, we are exposing to all the dangers of evils and other dangerous things. There is only one who protects us from all evils, and all damages is Allah. Holy Prophet Muhammad SAW himself has clarified that we should get protection from Allah by reciting these two verses.
