Since its inception in 1947, Bookland has the honor of striving to publish and supply academic books to Schools and Colleges all over Pakistan. We are one of the foremost and oldest publishers in Pakistan and our books cover a wide range of areas of interest catering to the needs of learners, amateurs and professionals alike. Our origin:
In 1947, the company was founded by the late Mr. Sufi Muhammad Sultan in city of Peshawar with his sons late Mr. Khurshid Ahmad and two others - a first of its kind in the book industry of Pakistan. In 1950’s, a branch office was set up in Lahore which evolved into Head office. In 1974, the business was handed over to Mr. Khurshid Ahmad Sufi and later his sons joined forces to carry on the business driven by the Moto

What we are doing:
Our publications are mainly focused at Islamic books, school textbooks and General books. We have two major areas of interest:
1- Academic Books as aforesaid, we are one of the premier players in the publishing industry catering to the demands of Educational Institutes in Pakistan from pre- school to Masters. We publish books for English, Urdu and Arabic medium and also cover reference and supplementary materials for examinations.
2- Islamic Books: These books are published by our sister concern Al-Misbah. We are specialists in publishing Holy Quran, Hadith and textbooks for Wafaq ul Madaris Alarabi (Madaris). To ensure the highest standards, we have employed the finest Calligraphers, Translators, Proof readers, graphic designers and illustrators. Our published Holy Quran and Islamic books sales cover national and global markets showing a gradual rise in sales which reflect and confirm the appreciation of our products. Al Misbah also offers Islamic material covering Interpretations of the holy Quran and Hadith, anthology of Prayers, Educational books .These have been received warmly by Public and Islamic Institutions nationwide and abroad.
