Fieldwork Diaries | Mianwali, LQAS 2025

I recently got the chance to be part of a 4-day fieldwork in Mianwali under the WHO-LQAS campaign, after attending a 2-day training at University of Sargodha with our amazing trainers Ms. Jannat and Sir Faisal Hayat.

From going door-to-door in remote areas to interacting with incredibly humble and hospitable people, this experience was beyond just data collection it was about connecting with real lives.

The farther we moved from the city, the simpler life became but the hearts got bigger. There wasn’t a single house where we weren’t offered tea, water, or food. Such generosity!

This journey taught me a lot how to stay professional, handle real-life situations, and most importantly, how to do your work with honesty and empathy.

Grateful for this unforgettable learning experience. 💚

یہ وقت بھی گزر جائے گا — چاہے وہ اچھا ہو، برا ہو یا غیر یقینی۔ ہر لمحہ، چاہے وہ کتنا ہی بھاری یا روشن کیوں نہ ہو، بالآخر گزر جاتا ہے۔ اگر آج کا دن بہت زیادہ محسوس ہو رہا ہے تو خود کو رکنے کی اجازت دیں۔ ایک گہری سانس لیں اور خود کو یاد دلائیں کہ آج کیسا بھی ہو، یہ ہمیشہ کے لیے نہیں ہے۔ آپ پہلے بھی بہت کچھ جھیل چکے ہیں، اور آپ اس بار بھی سنبھل جائیں گے۔ زندگی میں کچھ بھی ہمیشہ ایک سا نہیں رہتا، اور یہی حقیقت ہمیں تسلی دیتی ہے کہ مشکل ترین دن بھی آخرکار ختم ہو جاتے ہیں۔ 💙

Got a message from my brother today…
Straight from the Line of Control in Kashmir. His words hit me hard and filled my heart with pride. He said:

‘Don’t worry, we’re safe. Hum sab bilkul theek hain. Hum loag seesa pilayi deewar ki tarah kharay hain. Indian posts par white flags lehraye ja rahe hain… Bohat tabahi hui hai unki. Tum log aram se so jao, hum yahan hain.’

Reading that, I felt a storm of emotions—fear, relief, and above all, immense respect. While we live in peace, our soldiers stand like unbreakable walls in front of the enemy. They don’t just fight; they protect every breath we take in freedom.

To my brother and every soldier beside him—your courage, your strength, your loyalty to this land is beyond words.

Salute to you. May Allah protect you always.
Pakistan Zindabad. Long live our defenders.
