Permission Granted to Four Islamabad Hotels for Alc+ohol Sale
The Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control has confirmed that licenses for the sale of alc+ohol to non-Muslims in Islamabad are being issued under government supervision. Over the past five years, the process and oversight of these licenses were reviewed.
According to Minister of Interior and Narcotics Control, Senator Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, licenses for alc+ohol sales have been issued to four hotels in Islamabad under the rules and regulations of the ICT (Prohi+bition) Order 1979. These hotels are:
* Marriott Hotel
* Serena Hotel
* Best Western Hotel
* Ramada Hotel
The fee for issuing an L-2 license is set at Rs. 500,000, while the annual renewal fee is Rs. 150,000.
