Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), visited Multan Garrison to assess the operational readiness of military formations and oversaw the formal induction of Z-10ME attack helicopters into Pakistan Army Aviation, according to the military’s media wing.
The newly inducted Z-10ME helicopters, equipped with advanced precision strike capabilities, radar systems, and electronic warfare technology, are expected to significantly enhance the Army's ability to counter both aerial and ground threats.
During the visit, the COAS also witnessed a live firepower demonstration at the Muzaffargarh Field Firing Ranges. The display showcased modern battlefield tactics and integrated combat operations. He praised the troops for their professionalism, preparedness, and high morale, reaffirming the Army’s unwavering commitment to national defense.
Later, in an interactive session with members of academia and civil society, Field Marshal Munir stressed the importance of national unity, strong civil-military coordination, and a whole-of-nation approach in addressing emerging hybrid challenges.
