Pakistan, Afghanistan & UAE to Clash in T20 Tri-Series Ahead of Asia Cup
Cricket fans are in for a thrilling ride as Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) gear up for an exciting T20 tri-series, scheduled to take place from August 29 to September 7 at the iconic Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
Announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday, the tournament will serve as crucial preparation for the upcoming Asia Cup in September and the ICC T20 World Cup set for early next year.
“The tri-series will feature teams from Pakistan, Afghanistan and the UAE from August 29 to September 7 in Sharjah,” stated the PCB.
This action-packed series will allow each team to face the others twice in a round-robin format, providing a solid warm-up platform. The top two teams will battle it out in the final on September 7.
The tournament kicks off with a blockbuster encounter between Pakistan and Afghanistan on August 29. All matches will be hosted at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, offering fans a chance to witness high-octane cricket under lights.

This tri-series will pave the way for the T20 Asia Cup (September 9–28, UAE) and lead into the much-anticipated T20 World Cup, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka in February-March 2026.
