Pakistan has launched a nationwide crackdown on illegal call centers involved in alle_ged bl@ckmail, g@mbling and fr@udulent activities.

A new task force has been established under the FIA headquarters, bringing together officers from sensitive agencies, the FIA Cyber Crime Wing, National Forensic Agency, federal police and district administration. The team will investigate suspicious call centers, with the Interior Ministry receiving daily updates on enforcement actions.

Authorities have also compiled a list of call centers in Karachi for further scrutiny. Separately, 275 foreign nationals were detained during an operation at an alleged ill!cit call center in Islamabad. Cases were registered under PECA and Foreigners Act provisions.

Pakistan Information Minister Attaullah Tarar says PTI founder Imran Khan was taken to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), not Shifa International Hospital, for a detailed medical examination.

Tarar said the decision was made due to security concerns and the presence of PTI workers around Shifa. Doctors from Shifa reportedly participated in the examination, while a specialist medical team declared Khan medically fit.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Tariq Fazl Chaudhry also said Khan’s sister, Uzma Khan, remained present during the process. After completing the examination and treatment, Khan was transferred back to Adiala Jail early Friday morning.
