CDA Orders Acceleration of E-12 Sector Development After 37-Year Delay

๐Ÿ˜ค After 37 long years, Islamabad's E-12 allottees may finally see the light at the end of the tunnel!

๐Ÿ“‹ CDA Chairman Lt. Gen. (Retd) Sohail Ashraf has directed the engineering wing to accelerate construction activities in E-12 sector without further delay.

๐Ÿ˜๏ธ The sector was launched back in 1989 with promises of developed plots within two years โ€” over 4,000 allottees are still waiting nearly four decades later.

๐Ÿ“… A high-level review meeting is expected after Eid to assess progress, while the land directorate has been instructed to resolve local landowner compensation matters on priority.

๐Ÿ—๏ธ Islamabad's biggest land recovery โ€” CDA reclaims thousands of acres over a decade!

The Capital Development Authority conducted 15,099 anti-encroachment operations between 2016-17 and 2025-26, recovering 38,301 kanals of land across Islamabad.
92,702 illegal structures were demolished and Rs 49.661 million collected in penalties during the same period.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi presented these figures in a written reply to the Senate, as CDA continues land demarcation work through its planning and technical wings.
