“3 eBay Restrictions That Can End Your Account Overnight”
If you’re selling on eBay, you might come across restriction messages like MC011 or MC999.
1. MC011 – Account Under Review
Happens when sales grow too fast, you list high-risk items, or buyers raise complaints. eBay usually asks for invoices or supplier details to confirm products are genuine.
2. MC013 – Identity Verification
eBay may request ID, bank statements, or business documents. This is common for new accounts or when payment details are updated.
3. MC999 – Indefinite Suspension
This is the toughest one. Often linked to prohibited items, repeated violations, or connections to banned accounts. Recovery here is very difficult.
Other notices include selling limits (MC085) or listing removals (MC067) if eBay thinks your titles or products break their rules.
Tip: Don’t ignore eBay’s emails. They tell you exactly what’s wrong and what documents to provide. The faster you respond, the better your chances.
