ضلعی انجمن صحافیان لیہ کی ضلعی عہدےداران کا اہم اجلاس منعقد ہوا جس کی صدارت صدر انجمن صحافیان ملک فیض بھلر نے کی، جبکہ جنرل سیکرٹری محمد کامران تھند نے اجلاس کے ایجنڈے پر تفصیلی بریفنگ دی۔

اجلاس میں متفقہ طور پر یہ فیصلہ کیا گیا کہ ضلعی سطح پر صحافیوں کی فلاح و بہبود کے لیے تنظیم کو مزید متحرک اور مؤثر بنایا جائے گا، بالخصوص مضافاتی علاقوں سے تعلق رکھنے والے صحافیوں کے مسائل کو ترجیحی بنیادوں پر حل کیا جائے گا۔ اس کے ساتھ ساتھ ضلعی دفتر کے قیام کی منظوری بھی دی گئی تاکہ تنظیمی امور کو بہتر انداز میں چلایا جا سکے۔ مزید برآں، عوامی مسائل کے حل کے لیے ضلع بھر کے صحافیوں کو ایک پلیٹ فارم پر متحد کرنے پر زور دیا گیا۔

اس موقع پر صدر انجمن صحافیان ملک فیض بھلر نے اپنے خطاب میں کہا کہ صحافی معاشرے کی آنکھ اور کان ہوتے ہیں، اور ان کے مسائل کا حل تنظیم کی اولین ترجیح ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ انجمن صحافیان لیہ کو ایک مضبوط، فعال اور باوقار پلیٹ فارم بنایا جائے گا جہاں ہر صحافی کی آواز سنی جائے گی۔ ان کا مزید کہنا تھا کہ مضافاتی صحافیوں کو درپیش مشکلات کے ازالے کے لیے عملی اقدامات کیے جائیں گے اور تنظیم ہر سطح پر اپنے ممبران کے حقوق کے تحفظ کے لیے کردار ادا کرے گی۔

A meeting of the district office bearers of the District Union of Journalists Layyah was held under the chairmanship of President Malik Faiz Bhullar. General Secretary Muhammad Kamran Thind briefed the participants on the agenda.

During the meeting, it was unanimously decided to further activate and strengthen the organization for the welfare of journalists at the district level. Special emphasis was placed on addressing the issues faced by journalists from suburban and rural areas on a priority basis. The participants also approved the establishment of a district office to ensure better coordination and effective functioning. It was further resolved to unite journalists across the district on one platform to raise and resolve public issues.
Addressing the meeting, President Malik Faiz Bhullar stated that journalists are the eyes and ears of society, and resolving their issues is the top priority of the organization. He added that the Union of Journalists Layyah will be developed into a strong, active, and respectable platform where every journalist’s voice will be heard. He emphasized that practical steps will be taken to resolve the problems of rural journalists and to safeguard the rights of all members.
The meeting was attended by Senior Vice President Jameel Ahmed Dona, Joint Secretary Ismail Mirani, and Additional Secretary Adnan Arain, who also shared their valuable suggestions for improving organizational performance.

The monitoring team of the Punjab Board of Technical Education Lahore visited Punjab Islamia Public Higher Secondary School, Employees Colony Layyah, to evaluate the institute for affiliation of the 2-year Diploma in Information Technology (DIT) program.

During the visit, the team thoroughly inspected the computer labs, IT facilities, classrooms, and overall academic environment. The laboratories were found to be fully equipped, functional, and meeting the required standards. The team expressed satisfaction over the available facilities and ongoing academic activities.
In its report, the monitoring team declared the overall performance of the institution as satisfactory and recommended the institute for the commencement of the DIT program.

University of Layyah Hosts Seminar on Pakistan’s Foreign Policy

The University of Layyah organized a one-day seminar on “Pakistan’s Foreign Policy and International Politics” at its Seminar Hall. The event was arranged by the Department of International Relations to enhance students’ understanding of global political dynamics and Pakistan’s diplomatic strategies.
The seminar was held under the patronage of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zubair Abu Bakar. Distinguished guest speakers, Prof. Dr. Omer Farooq Zain (BZU Multan, Department of International Relations), Dr. Sadia Anjum (DSA Female, University of Layyah), and Dr. Zulfiqar Haidri (DDC Layyah) delivered insightful talks on regional and international political developments, highlighting key challenges and opportunities for Pakistan. They also emphasized Pakistan’s growing role in peace-making and its efforts as a mediator in the Iran conflict.
Faculty members, including Awais Qarni, Athar Ali, Sadia Saeed, Dr. Ammara, and Asif Idrees, also participated in the seminar, contributing to the academic engagement.
The seminar remained highly interactive, with students actively participating in discussions and question-and-answer sessions, reflecting strong academic interest.
In the concluding segment, shields were distributed among the guest speakers as an appreciation. The event concluded with a renewed emphasis on promoting academic discourse, critical thinking, and effective academic activity management at the University of Layyah.

لاہور: عوامی سروے میں وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب کی کارکردگی کو بھرپور پذیرائی

لاہور: انسٹی ٹیوٹ فار پبلک اوپینین ریسرچ (آئی پی او آر) نے حکومت پنجاب کی دو سالہ کارکردگی پر مبنی ایک جامع سروے رپورٹ جاری کر دی ہے، جس میں عوام کی بڑی تعداد نے حکومتی اقدامات پر اطمینان کا اظہار کیا ہے۔

سروے کے مطابق 69 فیصد افراد نے وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب Maryam Nawaz Sharif کی قیادت پر اعتماد کا اظہار کیا، جبکہ 32 فیصد نے ان کی کارکردگی کو "آؤٹ اسٹینڈنگ" اور 31 فیصد نے "گڈ" قرار دیا۔

رپورٹ میں بتایا گیا ہے کہ نوجوانوں کی اکثریت بھی وزیراعلیٰ کی کارکردگی سے متاثر نظر آئی۔ مزید برآں، پنجاب میں پاکستان مسلم لیگ (ن) کو 42 فیصد عوامی مقبولیت حاصل ہونے کا انکشاف بھی کیا گیا۔

سروے کے مطابق 56 فیصد افراد کا کہنا ہے کہ ترقیاتی منصوبوں کے آغاز سے وزیراعلیٰ کی مقبولیت میں اضافہ ہوا، جبکہ 55 فیصد افراد نے کارکردگی کی بنیاد پر ووٹ دینے کے عزم کا اظہار کیا۔

عوامی ترجیحات میں "ستھرا پنجاب پروگرام" 33 فیصد کے ساتھ سرفہرست رہا، جبکہ ویمن ویلفیئر و پروٹیکشن (30 فیصد)، پبلک ٹرانسپورٹ (29 فیصد) اور ایجوکیشن (27 فیصد) بھی نمایاں شعبے رہے۔

اسی طرح 26 فیصد افراد نے امن و امان کی صورتحال اور 25 فیصد نے انفراسٹرکچر میں بہتری کو سراہا۔ سروے میں صفائی کے نظام، صحت و تعلیم میں اصلاحات، مہنگائی میں ریلیف اور پبلک ٹرانسپورٹ جیسے اقدامات کا بھی جائزہ لیا گیا۔

آئی پی او آر کے اس سروے میں 7 ہزار شہریوں کی رائے شامل کی گئی، جن میں 50 فیصد خواتین اور 50 فیصد مرد شامل تھے۔ سروے کے مطابق 57 فیصد شرکاء کا تعلق دیہی جبکہ 43 فیصد شہری علاقوں سے تھا۔

مزید برآں، 18 سے 40 سال کے 69 فیصد افراد نے مثبت خیالات کا اظہار کیا جبکہ مجموعی طور پر 65 فیصد افراد نے پنجاب کو ترقی کی درست سمت پر گامزن قرار دیا۔ 56 فیصد افراد نے سینی ٹیشن اور بلدیاتی خدمات پر بھی اطمینان ظاہر کیا۔

Lahore: The Institute for Public Opinion Research (IPOR) has released a comprehensive survey report on the two-year performance of the Punjab government, highlighting a strong public response in favor of ongoing initiatives.
According to the survey, 69% of respondents expressed satisfaction with the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. Among them, 32% rated her performance as “Outstanding,” while 31% termed it “Good.”
The report also reveals that a majority of youth respondents showed positive views about the Chief Minister’s performance. Additionally, the Pakistan Muslim League (N) enjoys 42% public popularity in Punjab.
Around 56% of participantsعتقد that the launch of development projects has significantly increased the Chief Minister’s popularity, while 55% stated they intend to vote based on performance.
In terms of public priorities, the “Clean Punjab Program” ranked first with 33%, followed by Women Welfare & Protection (30%), Public Transport (29%), and Education (27%).
Moreover, 26% of respondents appreciated improvements in law and order, while 25% acknowledged better infrastructure development. The survey also assessed public opinion on sanitation systems, healthcare and education reforms, inflation relief measures, public transport, and cultural initiatives.
The IPOR survey included responses from 7,000 citizens, with equal participation of men and women (50% each). Of the total respondents, 57% belonged to rural areas and 43% from urban regions.
Notably, 69% of individuals aged 18 to 40 expressed positive opinions, while overall 65% of respondents believed Punjab is moving in the right direction. Furthermore, 56% expressed satisfaction with sanitation and municipal services.

لیہ میں وزیر اعلیٰ پنجاب انٹر ڈویژن کرکٹ چیمپئن شپ کے سلسلے میں ڈسٹرکٹ کرکٹ ٹیم کے ٹرائلز سپورٹس ڈیپارٹمنٹ کے زیر اہتمام سپورٹس کمپلیکس میں منعقد ہوئے۔ ٹرائلز میں نوجوان کھلاڑیوں نے بھرپور جوش و خروش کے ساتھ شرکت کی اور اپنی صلاحیتوں کا مظاہرہ کیا۔
ڈسٹرکٹ سپورٹس آفیسر امتیاز احمد بھٹی کے مطابق ٹرائلز کے بعد 16 رکنی ٹیم کا انتخاب کیا گیا ہے، جس میں 10 کھلاڑی انڈر 23، 4 کھلاڑی اوپن ایج جبکہ 2 کھلاڑی انڈر 19 کیٹیگری سے شامل کیے گئے ہیں۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ لیہ کے نوجوانوں میں بے پناہ ٹیلنٹ موجود ہے اور انہی میدانوں سے حسن نواز جیسے کھلاڑی ابھر کر بین الاقوامی سطح تک پہنچ رہے ہیں۔ انہوں نے امید ظاہر کی کہ یہ نوجوان بھی مستقبل میں ملک و قوم کا نام روشن کریں گے۔

🏏 CM Punjab Inter-Division Cricket Championship Begins in Layyah

The CM Punjab Inter-Division Cricket Championship has officially kicked off in Layyah, with district-level cricket team trials organized by the Sports Department at the Sports Complex.

District Sports Officer Imtiaz Ahmed Bhatti stated that a 16-member squad has been selected after the trials, including:

2 players (Under-19)

He highlighted that Layyah is rich in cricket talent, and players like Hasan Nawaz have emerged from similar grounds to represent at the international level. لیہ کے سپورٹس کمپلیکس کے کرکٹ گراؤنڈ میں فلڈ لائٹ کے اڈاپٹر چوری کرنے کی کوشش ناکام بنا دی گئی۔ تفصیلات کے مطابق گزشتہ رات نامعلوم چور اندھیرے کا فائدہ اٹھاتے ہوئے فلڈ لائٹ پول سے اڈاپٹر اتار کر لے جانے کی کوشش کر رہا تھا۔اس دوران سپورٹس کمپلیکس کے عملے اور ڈسٹرکٹ سپورٹس آفیسر امتیاز بھٹی نے بروقت کارروائی کرتے ہوئے چوری کی کوشش ناکام بنا دی اور موقع سے قیمتی سامان ریکور کر لیا۔ تاہم ملزم اندھیرے کا فائدہ اٹھاتے ہوئے فرار ہونے میں کامیاب ہو گیا۔ڈسٹرکٹ سپورٹس آفیسر امتیاز بھٹی نے لیہ میڈیا ہاؤس لیہ سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ بروقت اقدامات کی بدولت لاکھوں روپے مالیت کا سامان محفوظ بنا لیا گیا ہے۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ سپورٹس کمپلیکس کے اثاثوں کی حفاظت کے لیے عملہ پوری ذمہ داری اور دلجمعی کے ساتھ فرائض سرانجام دے رہا ہے۔ذرائع کے مطابق واقعے کے بعد سکیورٹی مزید سخت کرنے پر بھی غور کیا جا رہا ہے۔
Attempted Theft Foiled at Sports Complex Layyah, Equipment Worth Millions Saved

An attempted theft at the cricket ground of Sports Complex Layyah was successfully foiled late last night. According to details, an unidentified فرد tried to steal floodlight adapters from a light pole under the cover of darkness.The vigilant staff of the sports complex, along with District Sports Officer Imtiaz Bhatti, acted promptly and managed to stop the theft attempt, recovering the valuable equipment on the spot. However, the suspect managed to escape by taking advantage of the darkness.Speaking to Layyah Media House Layyah, District Sports Officer Imtiaz Bhatti stated that timely action helped save equipment worth millions. He further added that the staff is fully committed to safeguarding the assets of the sports complex with dedication and responsibility.
Authorities are also considering enhancing security measures following the incident.
