Machli Ka Salan | Fish Curry very simple Recipe
Hi there! Today we're going to learn how to make a delicious fish curry.
[Cut to ingredients laid out on a countertop]
Narrator: Here's what you'll need:
1 lb of fish (you can use any firm, white fish like cod, haddock or tilapia)
1 onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 inch of ginger, grated
2 tomatoes, chopped
1 tsp of ground cumin
1 tsp of ground coriander
1 tsp of ground turmeric
1 tsp of paprika
1 tsp of salt
2 tbsp of vegetable oil
1 cup of water
Fresh cilantro for garnish
[Cut to a frying pan on a stove]
Narrator: Start by heating up your frying pan over medium heat. Add 2 tbsp of vegetable oil and let it heat up.
[Cut to the chopped onion, garlic, and ginger being added to the pan]
Narrator: Once the oil is hot, add in your chopped onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Sauté for a few minutes until the onions are translucent.
[Cut to the chopped tomatoes being added to the pan]
Narrator: Next, add in your chopped tomatoes and stir until everything is well combined.
[Cut to a bowl with the spices being mixed together]
Narrator: In a separate bowl, mix together your ground cumin, ground coriander, ground turmeric, paprika, and salt.
[Cut to the spice mixture being added to the pan]
Narrator: Add your spice mixture to the pan and stir everything together. Let the mixture cook for a few minutes until it becomes fragrant.
[Cut to the fish being added to the pan]
Narrator: Now it's time to add the fish. Place the fish into the pan and gently stir it around to coat it in the sauce.
[Cut to the water being added to the pan]
Narrator: Add in 1 cup of water to the pan and stir everything together.
[Cut to the pan simmering on the stove]
Narrator: Let the curry simmer for around 10-15 minutes until the fish is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
[Cut to a serving dish with the curry being transferred to it]
Narrator: Once your fish curry is ready, garnish it with some fresh cilantro and it's ready to serve!
