According to the news, our education system is 60 years behind the world. Let's see how much truth there is in this news. The two pictures below are based on Bloom's Taxonomy of Learning Domains and Learning Competencies. If we consider the SLO-based examinations that have just started in Pakistan, we are far behind in analysis, synthesis, and evaluation. It's possible that in the next 20 years, we will make some progress in these areas.
On the other hand, our education system has completely neglected the Psychomotor and Affective domains and only focused on the Cognitive domain. Our education system is limited to just curriculum, books, and exams. As teachers and heads of institutions, it is our responsibility to fulfill the rights of our children and start working on our skills from today. In my opinion, we can reduce the 60-year gap in the next 10 years. I have taken the first step, and you should also get ready.
Note: SLO stands for Student Learning Outcomes, and Bloom's Taxonomy is a framework for classifying learning objectives into different domains and levels of complexity.
