Pakistan-Saudi Defense Agreement: A historic milestone towards the unity of the nation and collective security
The leader of the Association of Islamic Scholars, Maulana Fazlur Rahman, hosted an honorary dinner in honor of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, His Excellency Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki.
High-level personalities participated in the banquet, among them:
- President of the Senate Youssef Reza Gilani
- Vice President of the Senate Syed Al Khan Nasser
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa defender Faisal Karim Kundi
Alongside a number of prominent political leaders and scientists.
In his speech, Maulana Fazlur rahman confirmed:
The unity of the Islamic Ummah has been part of the program of the Association of Islamic Scholars since the beginning.
The Pakistan-Saudi defense agreement will form a starting point towards the unity of the Islamic nation. This agreement will strengthen the depth of brotherly relations between the two countries and represent a solid pillar of collective security.
The Kingdom, by the honor of taking care of the two holy sanctuaries, occupies a lofty place in the hearts of all Muslims.
The Pakistani people consider defending the Two Holy Mosques a great honor and a sacred duty.
And he added his grace
That this agreement represents the defense of the Islamic sanctities, and support for strengthening cooperation between Islamic countries and reviving the unity and status of the nation.
On his part, the Saudi Ambassador Nawaf Al-Malki praised the attitudes of Maulana Fadlur Rahman, affirming:
The Islamic nation is one body.
He congratulated the people of Pakistan on this historic convention.
The event also attended prominent political and religious figures, among them:
Maulana Rashid Soomro, Maulana Saeed Yousuf, Engineer Zia ur Rehman, Maulana Asjid Mehmood, Senator Ahmad Khan, Senator Dilawar Khan, and Noor Alam Khan, in addition to Sheikh M***i Owais Aziz, Sheikh M***i Ibrar, and Mr. Jalaluddin Advocate.
This historic agreement is a blessed step towards the unity of the Islamic nation and strengthening cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in serving religion and the nation.
