*How to get jobs on upwork*

According to me, you can get maximum jobs by following these guidelines.

When i started client hunting on upwork, First i structure my propsosals into three things.

1.Headline ( Attention grabing ) grab client concentration

2.Body ( Gives your offer, problem solution)

2.Call to action ( Ask them to chat more or call) it is the important part

After that when you submit the propsosals the first thing client see is your first 2 lines of your propsosals.

Which i called the headline content of the propsosals. So even though you boosted propsosals, you won't get that much chance to win the propsosals.

If your headline is good, your propsosals will have high view ratio.

If you have high view ratio on proposals but don't have replies it means your body sucks.

If you have high interview ratio but less client closing ratio you have to fix your communication skills with clients over the chat or over the meeting.

So what's the criteria which i use to filter out the jobs.

I prefer hourly jobs than fix jobs, because as of my experience they are long term contracts. But the client spend and previous reviews matters alot.( but thats not always good, sometimes fixed jobs are the best)

The hire rate should be more than 50%. The client spending should be good between 1k plus.

The client previous history matters a lot because sometimes if client hire the same freelancer again and again for $5 or $10 in the history than that client is fake. Beware dont waste your connects on those clients.

Client location also matters alot don't work anyone with ASIAN region had very bad experiences with clients who hire from this region. I prefer working with EUROPE, US, CANADA etc.

Let's talk about the length of proposals?

It totally depends on the length of job post, Your tone, Your length, Your style should match with the style of how client is talking about the job.

Never ever copy paste propsosals from AI because at this moment 99% use AI to write propsosals instead write the propsosals manually it will drive the most resuts.

Even if you try propsosals to write by your hand you might not be so good. So take these tips on writing propsosals.

When you think that the same line or paragraph of your propsosal can be send to another job post than never send that over to the client.

How to write the propsosals than?

Headline:

You can ask questions regarding the Job post.

Provide direct solution to the problem

Use their location as personalization.

Body:

Structure your body as you are client personal coach and guiding him to achieve the best of results.

Or you can present your offer instead of saying i will write articles for you aur blog posts, Say i will only charge if my written articles got rank on google etc.

Obviously you are not doing that, just to grab the attention, make him curios about why you are so confident.

Call to action:

Don't write boring call to action. Like let's get on call.

Instead try personalizing it more, can we call at 7 pm ( his location).

Instead of saying call you can also say to chat more about this.

But you can try different variations of this also instead of calling or chatting you can add more about pain points of the client.

There's a lot more to add. Ask me Anything. if i forget to add anything let me know.
